I just would have given it to Fish if it were my call. The advantage of giving it to Barnett as well is the added motivation it will give hi,m. Anyway at least it is not a three way captaincy as Walker was being mentioned as well at one point.
The other advantage is that the referees love Barnett.

Fish prob didn’t want the media stuff whereas Barney comes across well on that department

Not H&F, but generally last season we would have Barnett out from the 20th minute to halftime, while AFB would be out from halftime to the 60th minute, I think she'll be 'right
