It's is a really weird phenomenon for people from down under to be so invested in other countries immigration settings while seemingly ignoring the unsavoury elements of it what's also happening with ICE or the unsavoury element of anti immigration rallies in Europe.

Having a discussion around the implications of mass immigration on a country isn't as big of a drama as you seem to want to turn it in to. But that's what happens a lot of the time with you.

She cites the Social Democrats' "parallel societies" law, which allows the state to sell off or demolish apartment blocks in troubled areas where at least half of residents have a "non-Western" background.
The Social Democrats say the law is aimed at improving integration but Prof Pace insists it is alienating. The children of immigrants are told they aren't Danish or a "pure Dane," she argues.
In February this year, a senior advisor to the EU's top court described the non-Western provision of the Danish law as discriminatory on the basis of ethnic origin."

Interesting article. Tiered societies based on ethnicity sounds an inherently flawed policy creating another problem. Pretty much what TPM is accused of here.

In previous generations your family member would probably have have been branded mute and institutionalised, with all the other mentally ill and IHC, out of sight out of mind. Could mainstreaming and integration account for a lot of the apparent increase in autistic spectrum and neuro-divergancy that's always been there? Global population's doubled, more diagnostic tools etc.

Sure, but the Danish could be creating another marginalised generation that comes back to bite them in 20 years. Interesting contrasting case studies in Spain and Denmark anyway, the Spanish appear desperate for immigrants because they're not replacing themselves, like much of Europe.

Yes.

Like most things the reason incidence is higher is because diagnosis is better and screening used more widely.

Couple that with a wider acceptance of ASD and the culture shift where it is seen as somewhat cool in some aspects (the trope of the computer genius - hacking culture - silicone valley - tech entrepreneurs etc).

The socially awkward are a sub culture unto themselves now, geeks are cool and so on.

Aside from an apparent rise in incidence, the more humans there are, the more of everything will pop up in stats.

I was thinking about this paracetomol issue and the Havard study, I would be interested to know if they looked into the symptoms that the drug is prescribed for (pain and fever) and compared the incidence of ASD among untreated mothers that suffered those symptoms.

It could be that the conditions that the medicine is prescribed for is the link, it makes sense to me that a developing baby would be sensitive to the mothers distress or the biological state of developing in a mother that is firing neurons related to the pain pathways or the fever response. It may prove in fact that the disruption in neural pathways of the mother are causative rather than the treatment.

Could it be a natural genetic phenomena that's beneficial for species adaption, necessary even. All the great geniuses are autists as you said Sup, it's the normies holding us back.

Usually these genocides leave some DNA traces that are absorbed into the new population though.
I went to Cornwall once for a family reunion of my Cornish tribe on my dad's side, they struck me as a different ethnic group to the other Brits. I wondered if they were the original Britons, they spoke a bizarre guttural language and they all looked vaguely neanderthal, but they claimed to be Celts.
