That confirms my hypothesis, neither of us is a physicist's assholeIm not smart enough to critique one way or the other

Still posting the out there stuff I see. Ok I will bite.
This claim that quantum computing proves that the multiverse exists really has nothing to do with quantum computing in isolation, the idea that it offers proof is naughty (the inference is this is a new thing and Google have cracked it). To suggest it offers further proof rather than 'thee proof' is more palatable.
What they should be saying is that quantum physics suggests the existence of a multiverse and therefore a tool like quantum computing is more evidence of the same argument.
Otherwise it is like saying an archaeologist who finds a 12,000 year old axe head proves mankind used wood.
I digress, before Google tried to make their Quantum computing project the discoverer of the multiverse, there were other quantum real world pointers to a multiverse (the slit experiment).
Most will be familiar with Schrodingers cat.
Is the cat dead or alive? the theoretical answer is that it is in a super position both dead and alive (which some interpret as meaning there must be more than one universe for that to be possible, puss is dead in one, alive in the other).
At the core of these fringe ideas is that the bottom line is they are the seeds sewn in the ground whence normal or conventional physics breaks down (in this case the maths works but we do not understand what they mean, ergo all the "if you think you understand Quantum Physics you do not understand it quotes add nauseam).
My favorite made up theory because we don't have a clue is string theory, vibrating harmonic strings and multi dimensions.....because that is what it takes to even try remotely to explain the vast gaps in our knowledge.
Anywho, to declare my own position, I am more inclined to think that multiverses exist, however what I think in another universe is subject to change. But my suspicion about multiple universes is really heavily influenced by a life time since childhood of trying to contemplate this one universe, more particularly if it were proved to be infinite.
As soon as the infinite enters the frey of this one universe then all becomes possible.
Thing is, I cannot accept this idea that beyond the observable universe there is eventually nothing, since every time we invent a new telescope our definition of the observable universe changes......
Naming god "Reality" doesn't really change much, just semantics if reality has no discernable intelligent designer or interventionist properties.Im starting to come around to a god type idea. Chris Langan certain believes it. And his answer that "God" is in fact reality and our existence is merely "it" allowing us to perceive it via consciousness. Neatly ties lots of of ideas and physical proofs together.
The profound irony of your posts of deep and complex intellectual quality in a Donald Trump thread is not lost on me.Naming god "Reality" doesn't really change much, just semantics if reality has no discernable intelligent designer or interventionist properties.
Welcome back Sup, where you been bro?The profound irony of your posts of deep and complex intellectual quality in a Donald Trump thread is not lost on me.
Great to hear from you sup42The profound irony of your posts of deep and complex intellectual quality in a Donald Trump thread is not lost on me.
Welcome back Sup, where you been bro?
Happens to the best of us.Thanks bro. Banned for losing the plot.
The smartest man in the world is playing semantics? That's a little narcissistic of you. Im still struggling to comprehend itNaming god "Reality" doesn't really change much, just semantics if reality has no discernable intelligent designer or interventionist properties.
Now we just need Bruce back!Great to hear from you sup42
Wouldn't that be a hoot. Hope he is OKNow we just need Bruce back!

* with an IQ between well north of 160 est 190. Just because you disagree doesnt make him wrong*2nd smartest, after Trump.
Chris is a pseudo-scientific conman peddling esoteric shyte for alt-right grifter channels, and he's no more a physicist than Brian Wilson was when he wrote Good Vibrations.
