Politics đź¤ˇ Donald Trump

This is not correct, at all.

That was Tony Hinchcliffe. A shock comedian.

Other than doing a gig at a trump rally, he has no affiliation with the party.
True - but it was perceived as coming from the Trump team and perception is reality in Politics.

I think Biden fucking around and deciding he was the best option again when he was obviously mentally/physically not all there, was a bigger reason for the loss than Kamala for being a woman.

Getting thrust in at the last minute and just being catchphrase central ("middle class family", "joy", "hopes and dreams and aspirations", "opportunity economy") instead of having time to connect with people didn't do her any favours either.

I still reckon if Tulsi had been given the green tick with all the media backing by the Democrats in 2020 that Kamala got this time , she would've been a strong chance of beating Trump that year.

She was the strong intelligent woman of colour that identity politics needed that year.

I'd like to extenda hand of friendship to all my lefty friends in the Warrior forum just becuase Trump won doesnt mean it is the end of your dreams. If you want to start a Give a little page for your cut and tuck job I will chuck in a few dollars.
I have loved the good nature of this whole thread regardless of what side you were on.
I got to vent in it on a number of occassions and no one cared. It was a safe place to have your say no matter what that was. Which is a testimony to how mature our web site is. Other groups couldn't have pulled this off.

Yes as I say there are 50 reasons behind this loss. Biden only deciding at the last minute not to run handed Kamala a hospital pass.

Also would Schapiro been a better choice as her running mate. Walz lost the VP debate and the polls started to change afterwards.

I feel that Trump proved that the debates didn't matter this year...
I think you are just disagreeing with everything I say at this point.
The polls all reacted dramatically to both debates however the sentiment tightened towards Trump eventually due to "reasons" that probably only Trump and those close to his campaign truely know. Trump is a political genius.

I've just re-read all my posts and it certainly looks like it. I swear it's not because it's you saying it, it's just that I disagree with a lot of your points.

I really enjoy your posts, so do please keep posting.

I think people voted for the Republicans, not Trump. Thing is, the modern social landscape of politics is incredibly divisive and I think a lot of people are quick to jump to conclusions.

For example, I have been given a lot of shit because I believe in some conservative/libertarian policies. Liberal supporters (very vocally) assume that I thus vote conservatively. However, I also believe in a lot of liberal policies too.

Being shamed into leaning into my liberal side only makes me want to vote conservatively, as at that point, I have zero inclination to do what someone else says.

I would hazard a guess that this is a common sentiment as to why a huge portion of Americans voted right.

Trump is the cherry on top of the 'piss off' cake.

Good post.

I have wondered what percent Trump would have gotten as an independent candidate? 10 percent 15 percent?
He was the republican choice and this was a victory for the republicans in my mind.

I am more fine with his victory than what I was expecting. I think many of his detractors respect his political acumen. I also think that the world is safer with him as President as Trump is not a fan of wars.

Your self awareness that you share the American value of firm independence and not liking being told what to do, is admirable. Good insights there as well as your awareness of the context of your political leanings.

As a Republican supporter a day hopefully to be happy for you and everyone who stuck up for him despite us left wing people probably outnumbering on some days. Again I think this whole thread and its comraderie is a compliment to all of us.

To slightly correct this, I'll bring up my voting history in this country.

Labour, labour, national, act, national.

I vote out of

A) beligerance
B) a desire for change.

Depending on circumstance, I could very well vote labour next time.

If I were an American, I probably would have voted republican this time. I have no skin in the game, so this victory is neither here nor there.

I just find Trump to be hilarious in the context of how crap it must feel to lose to him.

No just the democrats losing to him. He pantsed about 60 other republican primary hopefuls over 2016, 2020, and 2024
