Well firstly a warrant has to be issued for arrest in your going into private property…
You use force.

So it looks like civilisation is built on the judicious threat and use of force. The exact opposite of your thesis that force is defensive and some dogshit take about chimps.

Kind of embarrassing take from someone who isn’t a communist.

From an independent authority.

And I’m not against force after all the checks and balances.
If a guy is shooting people in downtown Auckland, they issue a warrant and go into private property via an independent authority and after completing the checks and balances?

Can’t believe you are doubling down on this nonsense line of logic.

Interesting.

I wonder if you can think of any other ways countries have interacted? You know, like negotiations, treaties, common respect and agreements, diplomacy, just helping out here.

All of those are underpinned by the threat of force. What use is a contract if it cannot be enforced? What good is a mans word if he cannot be held to it?

War is simply the continuation of political intercourse with the addition of other means - Carl von Clausewitz

Seriously - an active shooter requires an immediate reaction to protect (defend)

This is a county that hasn’t changed significantly in years with the US planning for years in advance.

You know the difference. You’re smarter than that Frank. Don’t lose credibility to defend a losing argument 😉

Gangs and cartels go and bash anyone not upholding their word or a conttact.

The civilised world takes people to court and seeks legal remedy through an independent judiciary (fines to reputational harm to closing down company to banning from running company to jail)

Ever heard of the international criminal court - it deals with dictators, etc. the Us isn’t the world court.

The international criminal court:

  • What it does: Prosecutes individuals (not countries) for
genocide, crimes against humanity, war crimes, and aggression.
  • Who can be charged: Presidents, generals, warlords — even sitting heads of state.
  • Where: The Hague, Netherlands.
  • Famous cases:
    • Slobodan MiloÅ¡ević (Serbia)
    • Charles Taylor (Liberia)
    • Arrest warrants issued for leaders like Putin (though enforcement is another matter).
