My 2 cents. Everyone and especially people in the spotlight should know better to use racial or homophobic slurs. What Maiki did is deeply hurtful.

Fast forward a year and it sounds like Ani O' Brien, the leaker has no personal values.

Nicola Willis obviously has no values if indeed Maiki did apologize the day after. Willis could say publicly that there was an apology and this incident is between The journalist (Burr) and Maiki.

But obviously this didn't happen and of course it's good for national party to see Journalists who aren't right leaning to be removed. You can say Maiki deserved it but again, isn't this between two private people.

I'm just saying that it has nothing to do with her resignation. Suspended from parliament I would think isn't a big deal. It's like a manager in football being suspended from being in the dugout. She did something wrong. She got punished for it. Move on.
