Forgive me for finding it a bit odd that people will rush out to stock up on something that is highly flammable, degrades fairly quickly and is a bit dangerous to store in large quantity at home when *currently* there is no supply issue, just a fear of supply. If you're really worried, just top up slightly

Even if it did run out nationally, everyone is in the same boat, so just chill out and try to act normal

I'm not seeing fewer cars on the road presently. Surely driving less frequently is a more rational response!

Demand driven, not supply driven

People are worried about running out, so they are buying before we run out.

But according to the suppliers, there is a normal level of supply
Everyone loves a crisis and to use it to their advantage!

Luxon if he plays it right, can come out as the competent leader who’s managed the supply crisis…

But he won’t.

Partly the psychology is buying at the lower price before it goes in cost.

If it wasn't for the current government's war on renewables and climate change, it would indeed be a great time to be driving an ev.

What a bunch of idiots they are, and a disaster for our country. The solution this afternoon? Do nothing.

If true yep Hipkins should go. It's also got the hallmarks of a right wing hit job. If it gets confirmed, his ex wife is in the office of Casey Costello but I've got no way of reliably confirming that. Reddit doesn't count.
I didnt share the image for this reason. There was just a spate of posting regarding it and seemed quite a serious accusation.

Hope its resolved one way or another

Just on the IRAN/Oil situation. I have a friend, close to the top of the cogs in NZ. He advised me a couple of days ago that there is a full expectation this situation will get worse. Even if the war was to end tomorrow (Which is doesn't look likely) there is real hurt coming. And there may be other MAJOR factors still in play not yet known to the public. My understanding is that multiple funds are shutting the tap off immediately to charity and investment in NZ for quite the prolonged forecast period ....and for very good reason.

Take what I said with a grain of salt as I do not want to spread fear or tension and do with that what you will... but I would suggest reading strongly between the lines... your headache shouldn't be about buying oil, or toilet paper... it should MOST DEFINETLY be something else. Hopefully the NRL season is not interrupted.

Jayses. Can you give us any more hints, how worried should we be about whatever it is?

Typical misogynistic male attitude…. dismissing what she says in favour of a male because she’s finally gotten a job where there’s no conflict of interest ;)
