At least come up with something yourself instead of parroting literal campaign slogans. Quite jarring tbh
Where’s that picture from? Not any parties campaign!

I’m bringing out again when daylight savings ends because it’s genius 🀣

To be honest, the same could be said of anyone putting an idea on this forum.... calling for less immigration is straight out of Winnies playbook, calling for a wealth tax is Chloe's answer to every second question, calling for less regulation is an ACT slogan, anyone questioning the place or the interpretation of the Treaty is racist according to TPM, etc. etc.

Yeah, @wizard of Tauranga repeatedly does it.... but so do lots of others here too.
That's the worst case of false equivalence I've ever seen.

We need a wealth tax because we NEED A WEALTH TAX ON THE BILLIONAIRES, MULTI MILLIONAIRES AND OLIGARCHS. Not because I "follow Chloe".

Mike, you know the green party policies better than I do.

You guys carry on being you, the righties on here just want things to go on as they are and maintain their little world of status quo.

Wiz is a liar and a disinformation merchant. I get you'll call me one, but you can look at anything I post and it's at least verifiable, and I believe to be factual.

While core Crown expenses (central government operational spending), is 32.5% of GDP in 2024/25 this exclude local government, crown entities, SOE’s and investment spending.

In total approx 42% of the economy is government spending. That’s 8% away from communism (and economic failure) where the majority of the economy is govt run.

Before COVID, NZ government spending was closer to 38–40% of GDP, so we’re had a big increase in govt… and surprise, surprise, the economy and country has faltered.

It’s like communism hasn’t worked anywhere in the world but we’re gonna try it here. Good luck to those calling for more taxes/ CGT/ wealth taxes. Lock in a banana republic economy.

The evidence of the failure due to too much state is slapping us in the face and many still can’t see it, want to double down and blame the right.

Its evident that the right wing countries around the world are successful while we’ve stood still since Covid and everyone (including Ardern) are flocking to them. (And don’t bring up Sweden which has oil).

The evidence is all there for those with any brains and it’s laughable to want more taxes.

This petrol thing is just toilet paper 2026

Usage of fuel remains the same, just like it did during the pandemic toilet paper crisis.

Panic buying, not usage, will result in stock outs

Just chill out and act normal and we will all get by. Probably the healthiest thing to do is always ensure your tank doesn't get down to 25%. Not because of Trump's war, but because your fuel pump won't be prone to overwork and failure

I think it's a little bit deeper than that TBH.

Was there a nation disrupting / bombing toilet paper tankers?

Do other industry supply chains rely on toilet paper?

I feel like you are just trolling at this point.

42% is no where near "communism". If it were, many of the world's most successful capitalist icons would be 'failing.'
For context, France sits at ~58%, Belgium at ~55%, and Norway at ~48%. Even the USA sits in the high 30s now. New Zealand’s current 42% puts us squarely in the middle of the OECD pack, alongside countries like the UK and Australia.

Also talking about Sweden and oil is hilarious as they have no significant oil reserves and rely mainly on high tech manufacturing, timber, and iron ore...

The war is having a negligible impact on fuel supply in NZ. Current NZ stockouts are entirely driven by demand, not supply. According to the experts at Z, NPD, Gull and Waitomo.

We all love to panic during the idea of a crisis

The war is having a negligible impact........seriously????

The looming danger of the supply issue is pretty serious though and the implications to the supply chain and cost of living are dire.
So the comparison to toilet paper isn't really apt at all.

The toilet paper scenario was truely bizarre.
