I actually think he is probably the best they have got at present which is a sad indictment of our current bunch of politicians on both sides. Certainly not Willis.
One advantage of having her as leader. People can respond with the old classic.

Jim Grenon, Steven Joyce all with prominent positions and ownership in NZME

I remember a number on here promoting a disinformation conspiracy that Labour had bought the media with Covid subsidies.

The truth is of course it's those on the right controlling the media. NZME is the closest thing we have to Fox News

Who do you think should replace him? I think it should be Willis or Stanford but I get the feeling the Nats would go with Bishop. (n)
National was voted in because Labour lost the election rather than Luxon.

If National change it will be all on. Hopefully everyone remembers how hopeless Labour was and the leadership there hasn’t changed either.

You would have a point if the media was just NZME.

Radio NZ, TV 1, stuff, Warner Brothers (tv 3), Sky, social media, etc are all well covered as competition to NZME.

Keep flogging that dead horse though…

Dead man walking. It's all over now Jackie Blue.
It was predicted. The closer to the election he can hold on, the more it protects the next person.

2 months until election ala Ardern and ride the wave of positivity. Chippy taking over from Ardern this time of year left enough time for reality to bite after the honeymoon period. It needs to be left later.

National can’t win under Luxon.

The key to this is who's going to step up?
No one stands out for me.

Erica Stanford has the best chance but party politics may get in the way.

Competent, smart, well spoken, photogenic with no baggage and has the Ardern like appeal.

She’s youngish to appeal to younger voters, female - to appeal to females and not from a business type background which all de-escalates the anti-National issues to appeal to more voters.

Is she experienced enough? Probably not but like Ardern, would grow into the role and has a more competent cabinet to support her.

The only thing that the Nats will be considering is can she win the election for us ??
Nothing else matters.
Big call to change your leader in the election year. Rumors would be rife about knives and backs.

Absolutely I will.

Keep up your denial.
1 of about 8 major players has tenuous links to some right wing people. Except then there’s editorial independence….

But we will ignore things like unions tied at the hip to Labour (even with a say in the leader) and post their political hit jobs as though it’s completely independent πŸ˜‰

You play the game well 🀣

One of 8. Take a look again. Deflection, denial, change the subject, and yes, lying from you. Anyway. that's enough from me, it's game time shortly

Chris Luxon is in trouble and I think he doesn't like the job. Possible replacements before the election are Chris bishop more down to earth likeable guy.
Maybe Erica Stanford but I don't know her personally or if she has the experience.
Chris if you are staying on show more leadership because I see more of winston & Seymour on the news than you.

I don’t watch the news but follow social media quite a bit. Luxon’s pretty invisible to me as an PM. Never see the guy, don’t know much about him except for news bites. As a manager I can see things happening across policy and for the country but as a leader he’s not fronting up, owning successes and self promoting like he should be.

The recent storms should have been a platform to promote himself, throw some money around and announce policies that promote yourself as in control. Ardern or Key would have taken that opportunity to show leadership and come out looking like the good guys. Again, he was invisible.

Just weak as a prime minister despite being good and efficient at leadership behind the scenes.
