Sigh.

We're in a time of mass wealth extraction upwards. Neoliberalism has been the main mechanism, now they're not even pretending, it's just naked greed and corruption.

If you guys don't get that, you never will.

The middle class, which really isn't you Wiz, has been eroded to the point where there's a very obvious tiering in New Zealand.

A while back I raised the point of how much is enough wealth. The thing is, what we think is enough wealth is orders of magnitude below those who need taxing.
Enough wealth is what every individual should require to live a life of normalcy.
Unfortunately, adding in other factors like
Greed etc ensures that the world we live in today is far from just and equitable. On the other side, I believe the lack of individual and parental responsibility has had a large effect on where we are today.

I'm sure Jim will hire you in a heartbeat
He may do but to be fair I may have a slight conservative stance so maybe wouldn't fit his narrative as despite all the bravado, there are no right wing newspapers in this country. If there was, it would probably have a subscription rate to die for.

I confess to reading the Herald every day and I certainly don't find its political reporting or Opinion puff piece writers to be right leaning. Excepting maybe Prebble and Cotterill. I also have a sub for the Post which seems to me to be the other way round.

Finding news journalism as opposed to opinion writers is becoming a difficult task these days.

Disclaimer again. I do have some NZME shares but only so I can go to the AGM and catch up with The Hos at the after match.

Rick! No right wing newspapers? Jaysis, THE HERALD!!!!! OWNED BY NZME!!!!

Fair enough you don't see it as right wing, and that might be more where you locate yourself in terms of echo chambers etc - that's not meant as an insult btw, I suffer from that myself.

No wonder I seem like a commie to some of you :)

Might be the same reasoning that someone like Inruin sees themselves as centre when they absolutely aren't....which heads circularly back around to the fact that whatever is debate these days has seen the centre "shift" so far right that some think Labour are still left. And that looking out for one another and caring about society is communism etc etc.

This is however a slippery slope in these here forums, one that I will never tread on (disclaimer for those not able to see sarcasm in type: I am of course being facetious)

Well, let's see. The Facts - far right site that's featured on all of the great channels like the Platform

Curia
That would be David Farrar. Who is he you might ask? (Well you won't, but others might)

He runs kiwiblog, a very right leaning blog quite full of red meat that gets the talkback going.

He was VERY active in Dirty Politics, VERY good mates with Key, Collins and other vile folk - https://dirtypoliticsnz.com/the-cast/

He is a co founder of the taxpayers union

He deceives - something you'll be proud of Wiz

In other words, he's very, very right and part of the hit squads on the right.

Seems about where I see them.

Your welcome to post another analysis of the media… but Curia is a major and credible polling company.

In fact, here’s a Curia poll used by far left Stuff to prove its credibility:

3yr old poll???

If we took a poll on this forum and asked would the Wahs finish Top 4, 5-8th, 9-12th, 12th+ in 2026 do you really think that the outcome would accurately reflect where they will finish
Which of those media organisations has actively changed their target market?
