A big thanks to the Labour government who initiated the reopening of the Springhill workshops in Dunedin which will have made a big difference to employment and financial viability of Kiwirail back in 2019 after previously being closed .

Makes ya laugh. The left have managed to warp the tax system so a few rich pay for most of the populations needs. The rich dont have the social issues or drain on resources.

And yet the left have created a narrative to somehow blame the rich for all societies problems and that the rich are fucking everyone.

Maybe the rich aren’t the problem, the rest of us need to pull our weight instead of expecting the rich to pay even more wealth taxes and CGT until they leave the country… Jacinda played the blame game and now she’s getting out of what she’s created

Employment yes JN, profitability no. If I recall it was/is around 30-40% dearer to produce wagons in Dunedin as opposed to importing..

Balance between if those people were on benefits, not too sure, Haven't crunched the numbers yet.

Yes it was. Like power generation and supply, I'm socialist enough to believe critical infrastructure should have remained in State hands even if unprofitable or inefficient. The social cost is much worse in private hands due to the profit motive.

The majority of the NZ public would have no problem paying for infrastructure as above if they knew it was in their best interest.

The problem arises when politicians make decisions that aren't in the interests of the voters. My socialist roots coming out lol

Hence the cycle of Govt changes.
