Jesus wept. Chelsea needs to go back to school to learn how to write an article that makes sense. She certainly doesn't understand tax avoidance versus fraud. One of which is perfectly legal, the other is illegal. Maybe she got confused about Tax evasion.

My accountant gets paid a fair whack of cash to avoid me and my trusts paying any unnecessary tax to the idiots in Wellington to waste. Fraudulent activities on the other hand can be and are investigated by IRD. Going through one of their audits is thorough.

I suspect it's the same for other businesses, corporations and trusts on either side of the great divide.

He didn’t read the article again. This is about fraud and white collar fraudsters, nothing to do with wealthy and corporates and tax avoidance.

Ps Cash is king! Cut out the greedy taxman 🤣

It’s funny how the article was actually referencing dodgy business practises 25 years ago, and then talks about internet scammers.

And the comments / quotes concluded with taxing the wealthy. Not sure how that argument stacks up with reference to the actual article

It's so heart warming that the rich have the right wingers on here to defend them rather than actually obey the law and pay their share.

Gosh, they're so hard done by.
Your may think your Robin Hood but you missed your target bro. The article was about fraud which everyone doesn’t like, not tax avoidance.

Defensive Bomb: The article says: View attachment 15856

And for the defender of the rich from Tauranga

Yes, I did. So, my comprehension is pretty good.

Fraud Costs about 10b

7 or 8b of that was tax avoidance.

Ergo, tax avoidance is fraud.

Is my assumption correct and if so, how come myself and all the others who have a good accountant are not in the pokey?

Terrible reporting
