He is not only part of the problem he actually laid the track. Forty years in and out of cabinet and only now that he has conceded that they got it wrong. Seems to be scurrying away from any blame imo

He has an uncanny knack of knowing what the electorate (or a section of it) feels

Maybe it is all the time he spends fishing or socialising. Listening to people whinge about stuff so he can aerate these concerns in public

No wonder grey power loves him! All they want is a good listener
