Winston Peters house attacked with crowbar after the protests at his house.

Peters said it was the “type of violent hate-filled behaviour we warned about in the past few days about the radical left”

“When we have protesters, political bloggers and MPs alike encouraging this behaviour, posting politicians’ home addresses online, and acting with pure ignorance and extremism, this is the result.”

Peters said on Herald NOW this morning he has “no doubts” that Green Party co-leader Chlöe Swarbrick’s rhetoric around the Government’s response to the war in Gaza is inciting acts of violence like what had occurred at his home.

Peters claims Swarbrick knew the perpetrator.

Will be interesting to see if Swarbrick has any to ties to the 29 year old chap that’s done this to which she’s said she hasn’t because that’s pretty deplorable politics from Peters to to vilify her over another person’s actions and very much out of American politics playbook currently. It’s a very polarising topic currently but ironic for him to be criticising after some of his performative stunts over the years. Person should be prosecuted because that’s beyond protest, we’re heading into murky waters
