Exactly. It's really quite odd to get more triggered by a politician making a stand about a horrific literal genocide than the actual horrific genocide.
It's not the good look you and your mates think it is.

You have completely missed my point then if that's the conclusion you somehow came toIt's really quite odd to get more triggered by a politician making a stand about a horrific literal genocide than the actual horrific genocide.

Classic NZ fairy tales.Or helped end apartheid
and stopped nuclear tests in the pacific.
Seems odd that they are being held in Texas if she was detained coming back across the border from Vancouver.Stuff

Pretty grim situation for this Mother and son. Hope the NZ government is having a serious look into it, Winston says they’re aware of it
No sure what you mean by that mate, can you be more specific? No surprises that's your goto.
Surely we’re only being told half the story here.Stuff

Hopefully he gets a chance in between his concerns around hi vizSeems odd that they are being held in Texas if she was detained coming back across the border from Vancouver.
Winnie will sort it out.
I think the protests for the Tour did help. The Flotilla, not so much. The French are a different beast to the rest of the world and do what they want , bugger everyone else. Got caught up in Farmers protest there years ago, quite frightening.Or helped end apartheid

There certainly wasn't any statement from ICE that I could see. Maybe the reporter couldn't find them.Surely we’re only being told half the story here.

The nuclear thing is very interesting. Don't think there's anyone on the planet who would disagree about nuclear weapons being bad but unfortunately the sledge hammer took out the positive side of fission and we're still paying the price for that today. If things hadn't got so hysterical we could be living the dream with cheap safe energy instead of arguing over fossil fuels, pollution and here, a dwindling gas supply.
By now, nuclear power would have been privatised by one of our many neo liberal governments, Some lame excuse of why our bills must be hight, ran into the ground & we'd probably end up having a Fukushima of our own.I think the protests for the Tour did help. High probability of that if we'd had a similar plant to Fukushima in the upper south island in 2011.end up having a Fukushima of our own.
Of course. Never says she has a green card. But apparently she can work in the US and come and go as she pleases?!? Makes zero senseSurely we’re only being told half the story here.
Possibly but I doubt it. Privatised, yes, certainly but very highly regulated. Been a lot more deaths from dam collapses than Nuclear accidents.By now, nuclear power would have been privatised by one of our many neo liberal governments, Some lame excuse of why our bills must be hight, ran into the ground & we'd probably end up having a Fukushima of our own.
The current government doesn't believe in regulation. Red tape is believe they call it.Possibly but I doubt it. Privatised, yes, certainly but very highly regulated. Been a lot more deaths from dam collapses than Nuclear accidents.
Unless you're living in a true socialist country most of the services anywhere are not state owned these days. Not too many of those left as far as I know, even the Bear is not really socialist anymore. They don't seem to work for too long for some reason.
Specifically it’s David Seymour who doesn’t believe in regulation. He’s giving me the shits, only half understands a problem before making a call. However I do now wonder if there’s a possibility we see the gentailer sector regulated ahead of the election, it’s a very big cost of living issue. The current government doesn't believe in regulation. In the real world it's called safety, planning, protection, guardrails, common sense for the good of everyone and the environment.
Jesus wept but you're hard work and you still haven't answered my earlier question, just what were you implying? The current government doesn't believe in regulation. Red tape is believe they call it.

Unlikely. The economics of renewables is more and more obvious every day. Banned from new fossil fuel gen and forced into wind + solar, energy, companies now simply get guaranteed revenue from either the state or their customer base.Specifically it’s David Seymour who doesn’t believe in regulation. You are right about this RickJesus wept but you're hard work and you still haven't answered my earlier question, just what were you implying?
Big difference between statutory requirements and bureaucratic red tape. For example our Boiler and Pressure Vessel Regs are some of the toughest in the world. Very very few mechanical failures in plant here that are harmful to personnel. As far as I can see, there is no legislation in the pipeline to reduce statutory requirements.
