There was a great working system previously. Seymour arrogantly imposed a supplier and contract that has proven disastrous. He overrode the recommendations of MBIE not to use Compass.

Corruption, privatisation failure and a huge waste of taxpayer's money, for the private gain.

This is who they are

So wiz eye rolls and frank laughs about a student getting hospital treatment for bad burns. Nice.
Mate, too much crying wolf so we just laugh and ignore the posts of the forever offended.

Someone burns themselves at dinner every night somewhere in NZ… bet it happened under Labour as well.

Tomorrow we will hear a kid choked on a carrot stick and that will be the govts fault as well 🙄

Have you tried blaming Seymour for the Warriors loss on the weekend? Must be a link you can get all upset about!

Honestly, these free lunches are more trouble than they’re worth

Just do a daily drop off of fresh fruit, bread and spreads

If people want to eat it, have as much as they want
Haven’t lived back home for a very long time so I’m not across this school lunch topic.
But I agree wouldn’t Sandwiches and Fruit be an easier option?
Or I’m I missing issues with shelf life / Workforce/budget etc that actually makes these hot lunches a better option.

"Someone burns themselves at dinner every night somewhere in NZ… bet it happened under Labour as well." - as rizzah says, Strawman from the start. Rizzah was generous, I don't think you're better than that.

"Have you tried blaming Seymour for the Warriors loss on the weekend? Must be a link you can get all upset about!" Well, if Seymour was in charge he would have sold off JFH, Barney, Webby, RTS, and most of the younger players and the private company he got to take over the contract would be supplying players from the under 15s b grade rugby and then blame everyone else for the horrendous loss saying the answer is more privatisation not less.

I find this whole lunches debate weird.

Labour like to take away local control and centrally run everything - 3 waters; health NZ reforms, etc.

ACT is the opposite and are putting local input into health Nz again.

Yet here we have this weird set up where ACT moves to a central supplier and we get lefties wanting to decentralise it and go local. It’s Health MZ in reverse. Just weird. It could easily been both parties arguing for the exact opposite.

At least we all agree big, cumbersome, centrally controlled organisation can’t compete doing things vs smaller and local, which allows for individualism.
I’ve said consistently from the start when supplying food you can’t keep everyone happy ever and it’s all pretty predictable.

Re Warriors: the right would have KPI’s and make sure everyone performs. May be teething problems but continuous improvement over time.

The left are against performance pay and would have all players paid equally. If players didn’t deliver every week, it’s all good as long as they tried their best. Never mind, they all get participation medals no matter what.

ACT are about greed and privatisation only. That is their sole mission and reason for existence. To sell everything off. Which you know very well.

I am hearing that the ferry cancelation costs are up over $800m now.....
Just 3 days ago $300m set aside.

And saved a $3b blowout (before even starting so maybe double that) so a man with your financial acumen would know we’re dodged a massive bullet no matter the short term cost.

No, a $1.5b blow out.

If you wanna argue you could at least grasp the facts.
