I think factors like whether you've contributed to your own poor health with smoking and eating KFC and shit every day should be considered before ethnicities, but that would require heavy state monitoring of people's choices. Someone has to miss out because there's only only so many resources.
hahaha no it doesnt. It requires eyesight and a scale. Poor choices lead to poor outcomes

Polkinghorne donated to Act.

The last line of the statement says as much.
Donors exerting influence is a really story.

As for all the teeth gnashing and crying about a media hit job. It's kind of pathetic when the same week the Tim Ago story breaks so does Seymour's engagement puff piece appears.

Act use the media just like all parties. Interesting JA copped so much for her marriage articles but nothing to see here.
Like Maybetop8 says - there is a lot of hypocrisy in this thread (not you this time though @defensivebomb)
Good to know you are finally acknowledging JA's were timed puff pieces. And also the hypocrisy of it in the same post. Well done mate. I think you are making progress.

Another poll showing a dip for government and preferred pm. Big year for government to try win support back, very close though if polls are to be believed
I think that poll is about right currently. The election wasn't a walk over to start with so they really need to get some good results in a number of areas over the next 6-12 months or it will be a one term wonder.

Guilty or innocent is not the point. The Greens didn't try to influence the police. unlike the AutoCraTic (taking no account of other peoples wishes or opinions) party.
What was the influence? He clearly identified that he didn’t want to influence the police but clearly articulated concerns.

Our MP are a check on our public services and his questions seemed legitimately about the welfare of the person and not in any way questioning how the police investigated or any decisions around the case.

I would want my local MP in my corner if I felt I was being mistreated. You guys want un unrestrained police state?

Try reading the letter. You can do better than this. Or not.

A concern for Luxon must surely be a half term of Seymour deputy pm, especially if it’s close. Seymour is up even with Swarbrick for preferred pm, but he and and party drawing negative headlines

I think he had the right intentions with the half/half Peters and Seymour deputy thing but it's overshadowed him as PM at the same time. Bit more decisiveness needed from him this year.

The horror for Māori of Seymour getting time as deputy pm with his intentions surrounding the treaty must be what horror would be from the right block if TPM leaders got time as deputy pm

I share those concerns due to the potential divisiveness yet at the same time I think deputy PM is a nothing role.

I think Seymour would act more stately if called to be acting PM and would hope a TPM leader would as well if called upon.

All hypothetical but a good way to understand how those with opposing views to oneself must feel. That’s democracy though when the votes come in
