ur media has no credibility because they are ignoring this and it’s only opinion pieces behind paywalls that show how stuffed we are:
This morning Bernard Hickey posted about three economists who did an independent analysis of Nationals proposed property tax on foreign buyers.
It is all bullshit, total bullshit

The new ‘Show Me The Money’ moment

National’s foreign buyers tax ‘hole’ is not going away any time soon.

An independent report by three economists and housing researchers, Michael Reddell, Sam Warburton and Nick Goodall, demonstrates National has both under-estimated the likely number of houses to be sold to foreign buyers and over-estimated the likely price. See the full report below and

These attacks on the numbers are now metastasizing into a realisation the plan will push up house prices generally, particularly for those normally priced within bidding distance of $2 million. Christopher Luxon has again defended the figures as ‘rock solid’, but his arguments that home sellers below $2m would not increase their prices didn’t land well.
Heyzuess, why would anybody vote of national? Answer, cos you have to vote for somebody, and there is nobody else.

Just to cheer the ladies and jellybeans up...the government has been getting further behind on their financial obligations the Paris Agreement.

We are way behind in our emissions targets, and the consequences will be spending billions on credits bought from overseas.

This Labour government might take the cake...which would be something!!!

It’s going to be a national act govt in a landslide, and thank god for that. Double vote act & can confirm 90% of my friend group are in the same camp (aged 31, working professional).
You are exactly right which is glaringly obvious. Unfortunately even the diehard right out there are ready to accept mediocrity.

Mediocrity? Anything is better than the last few years & the votes will show this. People are done with this govt. crime is up, education success rates are down, mental health is stretched, the hospitals are running their staff to the ground & we’re poorer as a nation. A change in govt is required, at least give someone else a go because what they’re doing & were they’re spending our money clearly isn’t working.

I know two couples, same age group, all professionals. Last time three voted Labour and one National. This time, three Act and one National.
They tell me most of their friends are voting the same. All these people are wanting to get ahead, work hard, own their own first homes after hard saving and study and keeping their pants up, or at least not having random kids. Their families although not rich have expectations unlike many Kiwi's.

Renege. Who gives a fuck about the Paris Accord or Agreement apart from James Shaw and few of his dropkick mates.
