Totally, escalation is a way of life these days, look at the the Port extension where you are JN.
Yes Rick.A complete cluster is no exaggeration. Two legal firms & a barrister & half the consent application process was omitted. So much for fast track.
Again the legal costs will be missing from the final figures to make themselves look better .Not to mention the losses to the Port & inconveniences.

I was a bit surprised by that graph too with the number of new EV's I see on the road lately.
The incentive scheme ended just under 2 years ago so you are comparing 2024 against a year where EV sales were brought forward in order to get the incentive discount. On top of that new vehicle sales in total have declined materially in line with the economic weakness.

Been a big influx of those cheap Chinese electrics with badges I don't recognise in the last 6 months, Pams cars I call them.

The current government's war on evs and backing of the fossil fuel industry would be fairly obvious.
What war on EV’s?

I just bought one and the govt had nothing to do with it???

Best part my EV’s was the same price as petrol options (where in the past they were significantly more expensive). That’s the market talking and will make them a very competitive choice when running cost (vs petrol) are factored in.

No one can claim that Winnie isn't entertaining.... voting one week for a Bill (which was described as a bill NZ First having "no hesitation in commending this bill to the House” by one of his MP's) to this week saying NZ First will be campaigning against it at the next election. Got to love/hate Winnie!!!
