Just caught the end of the game so missed the Canadian innings. The guy that scored 100 at a decent clip, what a legend.

Just ventured on to a couple of Australian cricket forums…… it’s like the Warriors leading up to the finals with a mathematical chance of making the finals if 18 results go their way. Until I “kindly put them out of their misery” by telling them if the game between Zim and Ire is washed out, Zim goes through to the Super Eights instead of Oz.

Will, someone had to destroy their hopes and dreams!!!!!
 
Huge partnership from Santner and McConchie….. we were pretty much dead and buried, looking at a total of around 120! To finish up at 168 was beautiful to watch.
Hoping the total is enough, gives a real fighting chance on a slowish pitch.

What was with the anthem being played in chipmunk 1.5 speed?

Could see the players and coaches visibly laughing and Smithy drops the line "First time the English anthem has lasted longer than both versions of the NZ anthem".
 
Not enough runs on the board, T20 isnt helping Darryl Mitchell's form either.
I thought Phillips and sohdis bowling was quite loose this morning.
If we do progress any further via netrunrate then we need to find that balance of good batting and bowling which is hard in the game of t20.
 
Pakistan narrowly beats Sri Lanka by 5 runs after a World Record opening stand of 176 (212 to 207). Phew. The way Pakistan started I gave up. A 65 run victory looked a fait accompli. Sri Lanka didn't have a lot of motivation, but crikey, they pulled finger after Zahar got out. Unlucky not to win in thr end.

It was definitely an uncomfortable watch. The first 10 overs of both innings were horrible for us.
 
it’s incredible how well we perform on the international stage against ginormous populations. We are crushing SA and it has been an absolute pleasure to witness.
