YASSS!!!

How good watching the U19 teammates there at the end, and Allen finally makes his mark, we should try him for a BMac role in ODI, if not this WC do it after

Philips branded as the “next Brendon McCullum” at 19 and Seifert had their up and downs for half a decade to get there

McConce the rookie killed SA at the start and Rachin’s a golden arm now, the bowlers really outperformed to set the platform for our batsmen

IDK if we can win the final but we’ve got a healthy team, Henry is India killer (missed the last 2 WC semi and final against them), I think our bowling and fielding will be the key

My favorite moments were Santner celebrating after catching the 5th wicket and of course Allen rushing to 100, I was fist pumping in the 5-6th overs when the openers destroyed SA’s morale

Btw I told my wife when Allen stepped out and chipped it down leg side for a boundary, I wish Guptill did that in the super over 😭😭

I think winning the toss will have a big bearing on who wins the tournament especially since it's played in the sub continent

They start from zero but what encourages me with this team is someone seems to stand up. Allen and Seifert did superbly. There is still Ravindra, Phillips, Chapman and Mitchell. Santer no mug either.

I dunno man. If that was against us I think plenty would be dirty on it

Honestly, I thought they were a bit hard done by. I think the let off is that the rules dictated he had to 'have fingers under the ball'. Huge debate as to what would constitute that.

How far 'under the ball' would be considered good?

It seems that 'interpretive/vague' rules strike again.

I only say out because it was given out and about time we got the rub of the green. I legitimately thought it was fair up to the point Daryl Mitchell indicated for a review!!!

Yeah looked like a legit catch at first, then on slow mo replay less so 😅

Like any decision in sports, you gotta give it the "if it happened to your team" POV, and I'm pretty sure we'd have all been screaming had one of our key batsmen got out that way. Swings and roundabouts though, never forget CWC2019 😵‍💫

What was everyone's thoughts on the Mitchell 'catch'?
I think it's one where if you have played cricket a lot, you know it's out. As far as I'm concerned if fingers are under the ball it's out and we shouldn't over-analyse these things. It's only recently that the interpretation seems to be getting read a bit differently. Legitimate low catches always look suss on camera.

South Africans have been going off about it online though.
