Well thats the key really isnt it? Making sure we have a decent total on board for that fourth innings chase. Youd have to suspect that batting condtions arent going to get any better than the first day, so wouldve liked to have seen us make the most fo that.

despite the series win there's still a brittleness to this batting line up that worries me.

No matter what happens from here, NZ has shown mettle across this whole series, which is bloody impressive.

These pitches are foreign and hard, but it so much better than Australia where you just play on bouncy roads and get bullied. These pitches have been sporting and have produced good cricket.

Mitch Hay is in the squad for the Sr Lankan ODI and T20 tour (only keeper named by the looks of it)

Done well in first class cricket scoring heavily in red ball cricket averaging 46........only averages 19 in both shorter forms, only 24 tho so hopefully can make an impression at the international level.
