Haven't watched Gilbert Grape since studying in one of my English classes at high school in the 90s. I remember gaining a real appreciation for it at the time as it was not the sort of movie I'd even consider watching as a teenager. But yeah Leo as a mentally challenged kid that looked up to his big brother was the highlight for sure, I do remember the old heartstrings being pulled a bit back then.

Might add to the watchlist seeing as it sounds like it holds up
