My mum had good portion control so didn't end up that way.yea my mum said that when I was a kid to. And we all ended up fat.
She tells me she really regrets ever saying that now.

The "MSG is bad = racism" journey is wild but obvious. People still persist with the phantom MSG allergies while shovelling tinned tomatoes into their gob.
Whats wrong with tinned tomatoes ?????
Nothings wrong with them at all. They just naturally contain msg.Whats wrong with tinned tomatoes ?????

I know this is an old post now but thought I'd share. About 5 years ago I had what turned out to be some major mineral deficiency issues. Head fog, migraines, heart palpitations, exhaustion, weight loss... a laundry list of horrible shit seemingly out of the blue.Hey boys
Any of you on the carnivore diet?
Basically 100% protein no carbs?
I’ve been doing it - not religiously but I can honestly say it’s been a game changer on my overall heath
Recommend for those looking to lose weight or with autoimmune issues to look this up.
How does it effect the diet if you say ate 1 very high fibre vege. I assume it has some sugars in it which might change things? When you do this diet, is it more about keto or just not eating wheat? (I have never done atkins or keto before)I know this is an old post now but thought I'd share. About 5 years ago I had what turned out to be some major mineral deficiency issues. Long story short after trying many different things and researching what felt like the entire internet I stumbled upon the carnivore diet. By this stage I had been crook for almost 2 years and with some desperation thought, wtf do I have to lose?
Started on a diet of beef (best quality I could afford), eggs, avocado, and dairy. Zero carbs and sugar. Within the first few days I noticed an immediate improvement. Within a month I was working out harder than I ever had in my life. Energy through the roof! After 6 months my symptoms had 90% disappeared, and almost no sugar cravings (I have a very sweet tooth).
The only problem I had was difficulty shitting mainly due to not the right fat to protein ratio, from what i gathered. I came off it as I couldn't see it as a long term solution, but for autoimmune deficiencies and diabetes type 2 it can be beneficial.
Am considering going back on it of late due to feeling a bit ropey after the last flu I had.
Apparently introducing any carbs or sugars (much the same thing) can upset ketosis. I myself ended up adding homemade wheat bread to enable my bowel to function, and beyond a small weight gain I still felt great. But quality vege is probably even better. How does it effect the diet if you say ate 1 very high fibre vege. I assume it has some sugars in it which might change things?
