Social ⚔️ Palestine, Israel war.

I bring up Toussaint Louverture because the Haitian revolution was an incredibly violent rebellion where the local slave population rebelled via rape,
pillage and murder.

I only just got schooled about it, and it’s relevant. IMG_6895.png

The corollary in the writings and the recent events should be obvious.

The dance party in Israel that was attacked was 6km from Gaza. A dance party a mere 3.5miles from what some people describe as the worlds largest open air prison.

Imagine holding a rave at the gates of Guantanamo Bay…

The intifada had rallied the Palestinian people but the PLO also realised that both this method of opposing the Israelis and its own armed struggle would not be enough to bring political benefits.

ISRAEL TIMELINE

1982: Lebanon invasion

1987: First Intifada

1993: Oslo agreement

The Palestinian National Council (a government-in-exile) had in 1988 accepted the two-state solution, as envisaged by the UN resolution 181 in 1947. It renounced terrorism and started to seek a negotiated settlement based on Resolution 242, which called for Israel to withdraw from territory captured in the 1967 war, and Resolution 338.

Secret talks encouraged by the Norwegian government took place and these resulted in a Declaration of Principles. This said they had agreed it was "time to put an end to decades of confrontation and conflict, recognise their mutual legitimate and political rights, and strive to live in peaceful coexistence and mutual dignity and security and achieve a just, lasting and comprehensive peace settlement".

It called for a five-year transitional period in which Israeli forces would withdraw from occupied territories and a Palestinian Authority would be set up, leading to a permanent settlement. It was signed on the White House lawn in September 1993 in the presence of Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin and PLO Chairman Yasser Arafat. It was followed by a peace treaty with Jordan in 1994.

Palestine can’t compete weapons wise but will have a fair number of fighters too. Iran getting involved more so could happen but will rustle yanky feathers.

The United States has vetoed dozens of United Nations Security Council (UNSC) resolutions critical of Israel, including at least 53 since 1972, according to UN data.

With the latest escalation of violence between Israel and the Palestinians now in its tenth day, the US has stuck to that playbook. On Monday, Washington blocked a joint statement calling for an immediate ceasefire between Israel and Hamas – the US’s third such veto reportedly within a week.

The US’s unequivocal support of Israel has seen it thwart resolutions condemning violence against protesters, illegal Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank built since 1967 and even calls for an investigation into the 1990 killing of seven Palestinian workers by a former Israeli soldier.

The timeline goes further back to world War 1 no?

The timeline goes further back to world War 1 no?
Bit longer back, Around about late 12th century BC when the boys got the boot out of Egypt. In saying that, there is a great deal of evidence that the "world" ie, the middle east then fell over big time in that period. The Canaanites were collateral damage.

Good book by Eric Cline on the subject

As I posted earlier, the Romans and in particular Vespasian make the IDF look like a kindergarten party as to what occurred down on the strip. Alexander also had a bit of a thing for Gaza.

It is pretty obvious what the solution is.

The same solution that created Israel.

Land has to be shared and given to the Palestinians, a land called Palestine.

The Israelis have to give up some territory because their rights to it are merely equal to the other claimant.

Starting with kicking the settlers out of the west bank.
The state of Israel has been very hard nosed in the management of the Palestinian people.

They really got their state because of western guilt over the holocaust.

They are not all hardliners, but Netanyahu is an arsehole who panders to the right wing.

Somebody was going to benefit from the Merkrins having to supply armaments to to Israel, when they a running short because of the Ukraine war.

I wonder who that could be...just asking like. ;)

Off to bed but a last thought.

This conflict will never be resolved until certain middle eastern states and political movements drop their written policies and rhetoric of exterminating the Jewish state and it's people. In there lies the rub.

Despite the fact they may have been badly fucked over by said state since 1948, none of these dickheads have figured out that there ain't no military solution to this on their part, no matter how many rockets they send or hostages they take. Why poke the Bear when there is ample evidence that vengeance will be mine said the lord. Paul:Romans;12:9.

I find it very sad that in this day and age we still carry on like life has no meaning. He said, she said, tit for tat, only compromise and acceptance are the way forward

Haaretz has revealed that Netenayhu has been dealing with Hamas. Funding and arms have been supplied to Hamas as he believes it will be the end of the Palestinian State.
