🤖 Thread Summary

The discussion reveals a significant saga surrounding Addin Fonua-Blake AFB during the 2024 NRL season, culminating in major disciplinary action from the Warriors. Worried2Death #77275 Zaggo #77272 expressed strong disapproval after AFB was stood down from a match against the Dolphins for breaching club standards, Zaggo #77272 describing his behavior as "toxic" and the "complete opposite of a professional." The controversy appears to have centered around AFB removing himself from the team's dressing room, leading to his immediate suspension.

WahsaurusRex #77238 shared the official announcement confirming AFB's suspension from the Indigenous Round match, marking a dramatic turn in what had been ongoing speculation about his commitment to the club. Several forum members, including BangBro's still banging^miket12 #77269, called for the NRL to prevent him from simply walking into another team without consequences, suggesting potential player trades involving the Sharks. The timing coincided with his previously announced move to Cronulla for 2025, raising questions about his motivation during his final season with the Warriors.

Earlier in the timeline, the discussion had focused heavily on AFB's controversial request for early release on "compassionate grounds" in late 2023, which many viewed skeptically. WarriorsForever #77256 Commonsense #77267 suspected this was a strategic move by his management to facilitate an early exit. The club ultimately negotiated for him to remain through the 2024 season before joining the Sharks, but his subsequent behavior appeared to vindicate critics who questioned his professionalism. Multiple contributors noted this was the second time AFB had requested early release from a club, having previously left Manly under similar circumstances.

How can haas and AFB have such close stats but haas be like 100 points clear on the dally M?

Haas also has Walsh and Reynolds to compete with who are great almost every week, and then they have players like Farnsworth, Staggs, Maam and Carrigan who will often jag a man of the match performance when they play exceptionally well every 2-5 games.

So I honestly don't know how Haas has all these points, especially when he isn't doing anything spectacular like making breaks, scoring tries or setting them up, like AFB.

It’s deffinetly worth digging into deeper because it makes no sense to me whatsoever.

Was Pricey ever the best prop in the game? Genuine question, I remember being in awe of him but I was too young to know the more meta parts of the game.

AFB is 1a or 1b with Haas this year for sure and has been top 5 for some time. If he gives us another year of this I think you need to give the mantle.

Pricey had mana with the refs, which I won't count towards his prop capabilities but we've never had it since. Would love for us to end up with an origin captain as our captain again.

Best prop we have now. If we win this week, next week and the week after it will be in big part to him being our best ever prop.

My favs.
Price......big metres, consistent
Vagana.......wow rated him highly
Paleaasina........loved his approach
Tookey.......fun to watch

AFB, different again. But when he is angry he could destroy a whole opposition pack.

That 2007 season he had with us he surely had to be considered the best prop going around?

Price for Dally M prop of the year in 2007 and also Dally M captain the same year. Averaged almost 200m per game. 4 tries that year. Phenominal.

I thoughts AFB had overtaken Price this year but checking back, Price was an absolute machine and Clearly the best prop in the game!
