in Brisbane this week and it was so beautiful to watch the eerie disbelief and silence when Teddy scored the final try lolSo donkey fans were pissed at Klein and now thisHe’ll probably not get another big game this year
OveratedSam Walker choke job.

Tomorrow will be a great day to rub it in just that lil bit more.
I'm not surprised about Barnett. He's played limited games, coming off an ACL, inside a dominant pack. Probably the worst set of preparation factors for an origin gameBarnett looks massively out of shape
Should have picked Ford
Luckily it wasn't even as fast and hard hitting as a Pac cup game.I'm not surprised about Barnett. He's played limited games, coming off an ACL, inside a dominant pack. Probably the worst set of preparation factors for an origin game
Well, hey, fans are crying out for consistency from match officials.I feel like the fool messes something up every series. Defs got compromising pics of someone at nrl hq to keep getting appointed lol.
Yes because that is called cheating in any logical reality.Well, hey, fans are crying out for consistency from match officials.
Klein's just giving us what we asked for. He consistently does this.
I've never subscribed to the "Origin should be reffed differently" call, just like the "Origin eligible players should be treated differently by the judiciary so they're still eligible" call...Nonsense.
Good on Klien for overruling the Bunker.
The two sets of rules for League is a farce, it just speaks to the corruption in Australian culture, we play our game and forget the rules coz we can. The rest of you have to play by the rules, because they are the rules.
They apply this same corruption to their 'independent' Doctor farce. Ponga and Koula should have gone for HIA's, it was a decent head clash.
Capewell should have gone for HIA, that was a heavy head clash, but nah ORigIn. Klien didn't even call Capewell for the blood bin....the whole thing is a farce.
I feel like youre contradicting yourself a bit here Sup...
Klein ruling the head high different to how its policed in the NRL, creates a different set of rules - the very thing that you're complaining about?
I liked that Klien knew what he was seeing before even seeing a replay, he said it, I saw a shoulder charge and dangerous contact with the head. Was not a good game and the better team lost.
NSW looked really poor with their execution and panicked at times when they absolutely bombed more than a couple of tries most teams would have nailed.
Weighing in on the KP incident, the “shouldn’t even be a penalty it was a head clash/it was a regular tackle” stance some are taking is just rewriting what happened a bit. Was probably a bit harsh going full send off but looking at KP actions he tucked for the shoulder charge, whether he pulled it off or not that was the intent and the result was injuring someone with reckless/foul play- I can see why the call was made. Looking at the other angles I think it was both shoulder and head contact simultaneously.
Either way officiating dug itself into a corner again when it has an impact on the results of the games
Adam gee in the 2023 final Panthers vs the broncos overruled the bunker. Inverse also happens Panthers vs Sharks (Preliminary Final) klien rules a try but bunker says no. Overruling klien. You are talking about interpretation of an incident, by one individual. When I said good on Klien for sticking to his guns vs the Bunker who wanted an Origin turn a blind eye call, I was not making a comment about whether I agreed with Kliens decision or not.
The Bunker never argues with an on field Ref in an NRL game, EVER- that is all the evidence you need to weight this incident in the light of what it actually is, massaging the rules for the product.
I am talking about how the game over all is adjudicated (surely you can't argue that for example...the six agains rule was applied in the same way it is week in week out?) even the commentators said something about the lying in on the tackle and no Refs calls during the broadcast.
Klien was right though, it was a dangerous play by Ponga, there was shoulder contact to the head. Intent is not meant to come into it anymore with the HIA culture shift, careless endangerment entitles the ref to send anyone off.
Or were you referring to my comment both players should have gone for an HIA? I meant that over an above what the refs ruling was. Ponga should have been sent for both.
There is, but all that’s getting focused on is the head clash.I thought there was an angle that showed his shoulder hit Koula in the head also.
I did too, thought it was a 50/50 call send off or 10 either way I would have been like fair enough. The question has to be asked what was ponga thinking there was really no need to come in for the shoulder charge 25 m out from the try line when he was being tackled by walker.I thought there was an angle that showed his shoulder hit Koula in the head also.
