Tough watch. Backs really exposed today. Good thing the club know backs need some new blood, hence signing Warbrick trying for Broncos back.
Gutted about Metcalfe. Under the Warriors curse. We gambled on him coming back in Dally M form, but he obs needed time. Just thought a couple good plays and he would be back. Hoping this new injury doesnt keep him out too long.
Scoreboard in Melbourne is still nil all. Rest go again next week.

Where does he go tho then? Fb and Ali to Centre?
I would be interested in seeing that, he does a lot of work from the back. He also can still do his assists while not being a liability defensively in the line. While Taine is piss weak on the line, he saves trys in the backfield and is decent.

With regular hamstring issues in his past, coming back from a hammy and acl is going to be tough confidence wise

What’s worse is now we desperately need Boyd and he’s still shaky asf.
The worrying part will be if CHT and Capewell are back in. If that edge suddenly looks stronger with the ball and locks down on D. If Boyd is swinging both sides as we saw when Metcalf was off the last few mins then thats a major headache as Metcalf will come straight back in when fit.

I've seen people on here say Metcalf will always be picked as hes the only half signed past this year which I understand. But hes the only half that can't string any games together with the team looking out of sorts since his return.

The club is in a bit of a pickle. We honestly can't afford to have a Boyd/Metcalf defensive pairing on the field.

Not sure what the answer is for the club.

Would be curious to know how much chat CNK does compared to TT and whether or not our front line is stronger with CNK at the back because of it - even if he's lost a step for the position.

Similar to last week. We look like one of the best teams in the competition for the first 10-20 minutes.

Then dig ourselves into a hole by conceding too many points back to back.

Even if we could grind ourselves back into the game. A mistake or a few mistakes and we concede points again.

It is mainly our edges. As Vaimauga and TSS have both been good off the bench. Also Barnett for the games he was back. Replacing the starting middles.

As we all know outside backs are a problem. But these would be top of list signings for next year.
800k for Purdue
then try snag at least 2 out of Timoko, Enari Tuala and Ramien.
Be massive upgrades over our current centres.
I like Tuaupiki but Purdue is better and alot younger.

1 year under webby should do wonders for AKP.

1. Purdue
2. AKP
3. Ramien/Tuala
4. Timoko
5. Warbrick.
