The Ministry had the advice in 2021 and Hipkins letter to cabinet in March indicated he already knew the advice…. So when did he receive it?
The mandates for 12-18 year olds was stopped in September - 6 months after him 100% knowing in March… in that 6 months he never communicated the risk or acted with urgency.
It’s doctors fault apparently, even though he kept the mandates for AT LEAST an extra 6 months.
Everyone around Hipkins always seems to be wrong and never him (just my opinion)

Unless you’re suggesting there was a massive workforce of 14 year old prison guards or border agents, the September date is largely irrelevant. Hipkins presented the risk advice in late March, and the rules that predominantly affected young people were gone within 10 days. That’s acting on the data not delaying for six months.
