On sin binning - Broncos No.11 who broke Metcalf also took out Hughes late in the game too

Luke needs to brace or avoid those type of borderline or blatant late shots if he wants to play a full season for our sake

The reason why the NRL get so much stick - inconsistent game to game and even within a game

Personally I thought Walsh's was worse
There were a couple that were very marginal the other way as well, can't remember the instances but penalties for high shots when there was little or no direct contact - overall tho that game is probably how most would like the officiating done all the time, yeah?

If you take Reece out the equation, the grand final was very ordinary. Both teams played well, but it lacked entertainment. Walsh's xfsctor was his pure, unadulterated speed. Papenhuyzen had this once, and I would argue that Hughes and Munster had it as well. Just a fraction of a step faster is all it takes to break the line. But injuries and age has slowed them down. This is why I have reservations about Metcalf—considering his ACL injury, broken leg, and age. Reece is only 23, his youth, blistering speed, confidence, and skill, can tear apart any team, which is exactly what happened last night. Webby really needs to revisit his strategy and make some adjustments for next year. More risk-taking is essential. Unfortunately like most oldies he’s probably stubborn and will double down in his %’s grind out prop full back, wings and uncontested bombs….

Would be a shame because our pack is premiership worthy (take out Marata as depth lol)

You'd think 3 years in we should have a strong fullback by now

Just watched the final again.

Madge has coached hard grind into this team.
No matter how the opponent goes.
Just stick to the game plan and bide your time.
Last week the first half was easy going for Penritb.
Then all of a sudden Reynolds kicking had Penrith struggling to get out of there half.
The final was a similar story.
Storm were doing it easy then Boomf.
See you in 26.
Well done Broncos,

If Melbourne won Katoa would have had a good chance of Clive Churchill medal.
He was massive.

Without doubt Storms biggest threat. Hit ups, breaking tackles, offloading, throwing cut out/long balls, laying on try assists, scoring tries.....it was probably the fulfillment of potential where we knew he could one day reach when he was with us. Still harbor regrets but I was happy for him.

It could only take a Reece Walsh once in a gen type performance otherwise that Clive Churchill had his name on it.

Walsh basically did a Cleary '23, and this time they defended it

Wonder what was going through their heads when they stopped scoring and had to defend in their half for the last 10, I think their winger was still stuck in HIA?

of all the average things Nathan brown did for the club, failing to get Eli Katoa to thrive and picking Jack Murchie above him has to be the worst

Would’ve love to have seen what webby could have done with him

I've been reading complaints about the channel 9 broadcast. Is it correct that they went to ad breaks during the game or was it just between the halves?

As much as the Storm spine get a lot of hype. Grant can often stifle things with taking to long to clear the ball. Often takes a few steps before passing it on to his halves.

Those steps are fine occassionally to get the markers engaged but he does it too much for me. Takes time away from Hughes and Munster.
Egan guilty of this as well

They play ads pretty much every break in play. Sometime they restart play before the ads done but its not super common
That's crazy. Probably why channel 9 get to bid so high for it though. We are fortunate with Sky to have no ad breaks. Used to be the same when channel 9 would get a small number of regular season games exclusively each week as well.
