Yeah what’s with the titans pulling their finger out against us and rolling over for every other team, can’t keep happening surely.

time for a proper performance. No ford should help the 6 again and error count
They’ve had some real unfortunate circumstances against them in recent times. Panthers trainer running out when a kick was being taken was shocking and the following week the refs cost them a win I think? Think they often play with individual brilliance rather than a team performance, though they competed at 90% against us last time. They won’t be pushovers

Alright long suffering Warriors faithful - feeling a little less cynical for the bingo this time round. We'll be looking for:
  • Marata short ball crash play does Foran's shoulder in and sends him to early retirement (Vatuvei vs Slater anyone?)
  • Demi try assist
  • Kini burns Pompey for a try from 40+meters out
  • Berry scores on his comeback game only to be injured again in the act of scoring.
  • Wahs win the penalty count.
  • Roger drops one cold.
  • Wegan gets the roll on going and ends with 80+ running meters.
  • Dallin gets caught in no-mans land again.
  • Sami gets a double.
  • Fish goes in the (chilly)bin for an egregious high tackle
  • Boyd slots the winner from the sideline after Campbell fails to do so.
  • Only 1 team gets 6-again calls in the first half.
  • Harris-Tavita gets tricky then throws it over the sideline.
  • 2 tries leaked while TMM is on the field.
  • Not a single escort is called.
  • Dallin in the corner.

Truth is that we humiliated the Titans for decades to the point where they have become bent out of shape over the Warriors.

Until you accept that, you're gonna keep lammenting 'why can't we beat the shittest team in the NRL?'

Sorry but get over it, they have it in for us, and we need to show them the respect Muhamad Ali should have shown Henry Cooper and Ken Norton.

This is a thing in sport, including the NRL, we have been in the Titans shoes ourselves, humiliated by the Broncos from 1995 - 2001, till a man named Kevin Campion lead us to a one point win. After that we had this taste for Bronco blood.

Storm fans spent years trying to figure out how various shithouse Warriors teams near the bottom of the table would aim up and just roll them for kicks.

This is that thing, this is a monster we created, until we realize we are in the game of our lives when we play these pricks, we will keep showing up short.

The Titans have speed across the breadth of the park and offloading ability to envy.

The only way we win today is to commit to taking them seriously, which means line speed, shutting down their options, working hard and cutting off space and time. The strangle.

And I hate to break this too you, but we could play the best game the Warriors have ever put together and still not come away winners.

I think we win this precisely because Ford isn't playing. I could prove to be wrong - but will see if my prediction proves correct. He is number one in the NRL for most ruck infringements.
Unfortunately Ford was meant to replace Barnetts energy, so whatever you say about him being out, it comes at a big cost.

Without him our chances of using line speed to cut off and Strangle the Titans attacking high speed sweeps is now fooked without Ford and Barnett.

Which I suspect you all will discover today, I hope not, our last hopes are JFH, Egan, and Capewell for leading speed in our line defence.

None of that lot are anywhere near the line defensive pace of Ford.

Man you guys are awesome fans. Belief and dedication to the team. 3 out of 3 wins and a top 3/4 finish surely would be nice.

I'm a big fan too, but I'm also an evidence-based thinker, and the evidence that I have seen over the last few weeks suggests to me that it would be extremely optimistic of us to think this team has enough points in it to win more than one game from here despite what is a very soft draw on the surface. Titans 17th, Eels 15th and Manly who seemed to have given up. All three teams with not much to play for.

It is impossible to ignore how ineffective our attack is (and how exposed our flanks are vs the Titans). I think the Titans will score a few against us, it's just whether their underbelly is soft enough to outscore them. For the others it is whether we can put enough points on the board in low-scoring cripple fights.

Crucially the Eels are virtually untouched by injury, and this has shown in the fight they have put up in the last month. For Manly the emotion will be high for DCE's last game. They will be determined at home, it won't be the pushover version of the team.

Let’s all hope for the sake of the warriors season that my take on Ford is the correct one given he is out for the next three games

His minuses outweigh his advantages for me
I am confident we will go much much bettet without him. However games of rugby league are complex and multi dimensional so your argument and view point may be correct. Let’s watch and see if I am right. Not only the top in the nrl for six agains but 7th in the league for penalties conceded.

Yep I actually predict a loss of 13 plus here today unless Webby has exposed something hes seen as a weakness, a bench injection of Healey could've provided that but hopefully pure hunger of top 4 is enough for us🤞.

First of all definitely picking our team 13+... however, that nagging feeling of where are the points coming from ... we're at about an average of 16 last few weeks whereas they're sitting in the low twenties... fuck the stats: give us 50

The top sides take the attitude that they are entitled to turn over the ball because they dig in and defend.

The Roosters set the standard for years by deliberately conceding penalties and leading the NRL in getting pinged, while also having the best defence in the league and winning premierships.

Melbourne do the same, push the limits in the ruck and some games they get pinged heavily, but they also take the mindset that they are entitled to expect to defend the line when the other team has the ball.

Excluding Fords contribution to momentum swings will not win us games imo.

Did anyone noticed how slow the Raiders played the ball last night not just milking but taking ages.
Maybe it was just me but Tapine Horsborough young all seemed to milk the play and get the 6 agains?

People always talk about Bellamy and the Storm being a master of pushing rules to their limits (and beyond). I think Ricky is even better. The Raiders have always been a spoiling, scrappy team. You are in a battle of attrition with them. The big difference this year is that they have some genuinely high quality players to boot.
