Not what was said in CNK & Niukores interview earlier in the year on One take no clubs wanted them
CNK wasn't wanted at the Raiders. That was blatantly clear.
No way in hell Niukore was getting 625k elsewhere & clubs don't offer that $ to players that "no clubs" want. That would be terrible business. He took his biggest offer available, in 'Nov 2021 for 2023 onwards, less than 2 weeks after he hit the free market. The Eels would've loved to have kept him. Just because a club doesn't lock up a player 12 months early it doesn't mean they're goneski. Pompey is the perfect example of that

The Raiders could have done with CNK this year. Savage was hardly seen.

I would say if tigers paid freight we would kick ice”s tires in the Hope webby can lift him
I don’t think we will go after a prop
Instead we will go after a second rower to replace Bailey

Not sure that's necessary Wrighty Wrighty.
Since Sironen joined our Second Row stocks have gained Niukore & Ford plus the young throbbers like Halasima & Laban coming through. Going is a like for like for Sironen too for a 1/4 of his salary if they wanted to keep him around. The club might have some competition for his services unless we guarantee him Top 30 though

Yup, I quite like the look of Going. Has that no nonsense look about him.

IMO we need to improve at prop, centre and wing.

Meh, we already have Alex Twal, and his name is Bunty Afoa lol

I don't think we need another tackle bot, and with the young guys we have coming through I wouldn't want him blocking that path.

I hope he finds a good place to land, that dude deserves to win some games, but just not necessarily with us.

Yeah I am leaning towards taking a gamble on the NSW cup boys next year, start blooding a couple.

For our long term success and if we are truely a development club, we need to bring a player or 2 into the top team every year.

Who do we drop next year to make way for youngsters? I don’t believe relying on injury cover creates the opportunities needed.

Maybe Sironen/Ale/Bunty drops off the bench to allow opportunities for forwards? Maybe Kosi challenges Montoya? Maybe Ali challenges Berry?

Our core team is stacked with experience and form players so there isn’t actually many opportunities.

We should be aiming for top 4 again next year with a more experience squad. No reason we can't out perform this year except two things
Injuries to SJ and AFB. It's incredibly concerning they haven't played Volkman. It's a miracle SJ has been healthy most of the year, next year it's very likely he isn't. We need a plan B not playing fucking Walker or Tohu in his place, that's absolute garbage.

Injury to AFB. Dude is doing huge minutes and work, it is more likely than not he gets a decent injury. If it's a season ender we miss the 8 and this SJ window is all but closed.

It's absolutely ridiculous we don't have a B tier prop backing him up. Bunty isn't even in the team anymore. If it's due to cap restraints, signing RTS was a ridiculous decision.

This isn't the time or position to 'bring someone through'. We need a veteran big boy, even if they get to rest on and off half the season with AFB healthy.

I am not sure it is necessary either but suspect it is what they will do based on past acquisitions. We have repeatedly targeted second rowers in the past 24 months

Pulling this out of my wazoo but I speculate that they have done analysis and figure a quality second rower moves the needle more than a prop does. For one thing second rowers play more minutes

What about a prop/lock, second rower like RFM? Sup 42 reckons not the type of player Webster likes because slow, I’d say he is the type of player Webster could be interested in considering how many of our players fill multiple positions.

Not sure why people think we would want to recruit a second rower when you look who we have coming through Sifakula, Going and Laban. I am hoping Sifakula steps up and forces his way into the FG squad. For Prop we have Zyon Maiu’u who looks really promising but no way he could do a long stretch of FG if AFB has a long term injury. Not convinced on Twal but we need to have a decent prop as Bunty can't seem to get any game time anymore.

Sifakula did his ACL so won't be back for quite a bit of time next season unfortunately.

Are you new here lol?
We could have filled a team with backrowers last year, and have always had more than enough backrowers.

That is why people think we will be looking at them over props. It's what we do 🤷
