Montoya ain't the guy. He's a solid grafter, tries hard, but he isn't what we need.
We desperately need an aerial option like we used to have with Fus or Manu. Look how effective tall wingers like Don Young or Daniel Tupou have been, even Lomax against us last week.
Theres only enough room for one hard running rocks for brains winger in this team.

He also dropped two defensive bombs which admittedly were contested. But he is not good under the high ball.
I said last week Pompey should be playing just to stop the mistakes happening.

I don't see us winning our way into the GF with Montoya's blunders. And I know I risk being attacked by the BerrySiah people but he needs another stint in NSW cup to fix his one on one defence. He is a liability on defence at the moment. Specifically and this comes from my days playing rugby union and being a good tackler, is that when you legs tackle you chop them just above the knee and you slide down and strangle around the ankles. Berry is going straight for the ankles which any decent player can burst through.

I was thinking 70-10 to us and finally expunging the memory of our all our Anzac losses. And then, that fateful 20 minute mark, it couldn't possibly happen again ...could it? You're right again wrighty, it's the hope that kills you.

I hate to say it, but im losing a bit of faith in him. Being positive is great and all that, but at what point does that start to be counterproductive. The players look like they believe the hype right now, and have zero repercussions for shit performances, and nothing Webster has said leads me to believe he can turn it around. He says he hates excuses, but every week hes gone on about how tired we are, how hard the games of football are. Sounds every bit an excuse to me.
Watching the Roosters pull the Dragons to pieces. Remember they whipped us.

It seems to be a theme this year that the offloads been killing us. Several this game (Tits first try, Fifita to Brimson, Kelly to Khan-Periera), the big long range try to Storm, they seem to be absolute momentum killers for us.

Have to say Mt Smart looks pretty ordinary in the daylight, the old stands are getting shabby. I prefer it in the darkness with the dimmest lighting rig of any ground.
I put a lazy tenner on the Titans at 4.10 because those were silly odds. I also put 20 on the Dragons last week at 2.70 because that seemed a bit too generous as well, so maybe I'm part of the problem. At least the odds won't be as favourable on the Warriors next game...
