Fake news!

Utoikamanu - 191cm, 115kg

AFB - 189cm, 118kg
Barnett - 187cm, 104kg
Tohu - 195cm, 112kg
Ale - 184cm, 109kg
Bunty - 188cm, 113kg
Zyon Maiu’u - 183cm, 106kg
Tevaga - 178cm, 98kg

Aside from Jazz, Ale and Zyon Maiu’u could bulk up another 5kg or so but I wouldn't say we were a team that struggles size wise.

Can't believe Bunty is so big and heavy yet gets stopped in his tracks when he runs in to a defender tho, what's the old saying about Tarzan and Jane again 🙃
Btw, I'll stop the short jokes and shut my mouth forever if we signed JFH & Leota lol

WARRIORS

Bunty Afoa, Tom Ale, Mitch Barnett, Wayde Egan, Jackson Ford, Tohu Harris, Edward Kosi, Ali Leiataua, Te Maire Martin, Marcelo Montoya, Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad, Adam Pompey, Taine Tuaupiki, Dylan Walker, Dallin Watene-Zelezniak

15 players off contract

With Molo apparently on $600k a season at present I could see us needing to pay him $700k or possibly even what was offered to BHU to entice him over? Would we be needing to recruit another front rower or would we use the leftover money if he signed to upgrade players in the squad able to be negotiated with in November? And play Molo/Niukore or Barnett starting front row? Of the list above I could see us not letting Egan and Leiataua get to market, possibly CNK? Tohu another one year extension? Find it unlikely Barnett stays beyond this contract and hopeful to see Ale make strides, is there anyone else we need to lock up, and do we need to re sign Lussick this year?

F Molo is a decent prop and I feel he has always been underrated. I would be shocked if he is on $600k.
That’s great money for a guy who is more off the bench than starting.
He never seems to play big minutes though.
He would do well here and I would consider him if Barnett joins AFB in his exodus.

Do you mean these players are off contract at the end of 2025?

Dragons enforcer Francis Molo is reportedly being targeted be three rival clubs as he firms as one of the NRL’s biggest recruitment plays for the 2025 season.
Molo’s current contract runs out at the end of the 2024 season and he’s yet to sign a new deal to remain under Shane Flanagan.
According to WWOS, the Warriors could be one of his potential suitors as they look to sure up their prop stocks with Addin Fonua-Blake departing for the Sharks.

There is plenty of interest but we are in no hurry,” Molo’s manager Wade Rushton said.
“The Dragons want to keep him but there is also outside interest - we will let him get a few games under his belt and then see where things stand.”
Molo is reportedly earning around $600,000 per-season after signing his three-year contract ahead of the 2022 season.
He started under Flanagan in the Dragons’ Round 1 win over the Titans and has also been named in the front row ahead of Round 2.
Molo has previously played two games for Queensland at Origin level.

Says in this article on reportedly $600k per season. Played 51 minutes in the weekend just passed

Is that Sio Kali, far left, 4th row down?
If so, he's a fulltimer according to his management

Addin isn't 187 🤣 Bunty isn't 188! Ale is 6 foot? More like 5ft 10. The old Wikipedia WWF measuring system to make them look taller lol

Nas - 200cm - 115kg(BS too. Is more like 130kg)
Willison 199 1114kg.
Payne Haas - 194 119kg
Tino Fa'asuamaleaui 196 112 kg

Tohu is a fill in Prop. Granted , he is better than most our props bar Addin in that position.

Being a shorter, Lighter prop is hard when you're up against men twice the size with similar abilities.

Unless you're James Fisher Harris or Moses Leota. Bunty & Ale aren't even close to them.

We get beat up & worn out by opposing monsters. We have no size off the bench to match. Once our monster comes off, on jogs Bunty , Ale or Jazz. Doesn't scream scary lol.

A balance is needed. Even one big boy off the bench to try & keep the momentum Addin creates. The rest can be workers.
What kills me is that we're too small to muscle up and too big to keep up. I agree about balance. Haas has proportionate size weight big motor. I don't K ow who Willison is but 1114kg might need to hit the cardio

Willison's a 21 yr old Broncos rookie, big dude from Hamiltion I think. Good prospect but as you say it's pretty rare for these massive bodies to have the motor and endurance for long nrl careers with the weight they carry. The game keeps speeding up, they can't stand around having a breather all day like an All Blacks game.

Zyon Maiu’u is a young Francis Molo clone, why do we need a clapped out Dragons cast-off when we've got a younger model ready to go without the women bashing convictions. No thanks, we're already compromised enough by a couple of our best players.

I'm pretty sure it's his brother Jethro who works for the Warriors.

Add Bodie too who is a the brand manager and photographer for the team; very jealous of that whole family lol

Again looking through the photo sport archive- he and Kalani Going are the only two players not in the NRL contract list to get their photo taken

Going would have to be next man up for one of the two open 30 spots so that makes sense

Kali must then have a Leka-type contract in the dev list that just hasn’t been updated? i.e two years on the dev list, third year automatically upgraded to top 30

Has the club gotten back to you on it?

Roosters table $1.8m offer for Rugby prodigy Max Jorgensen

Misleading statement as this article speculates $1.8 million for two years to which is denied anyway. So $900k per season if it eventuated. Sounds like Joseph Manu off to Japanese rugby for a season and a half to potentially rejoin the roosters midway through the 2026 season

I went to see a Japanese top league game last weekend. It involved one of the more noteworthy teams (Sungoliath) at the main stadium. I reckon there would've been little more than a thousand spectators. I can't imagine a competitor in their prime years would be happy playing out their career in this competition unless it was just about money. I can believe that Manu will be back in RL at the soonest opportunity, and why not at the Wahs?

I'm pretty sure there was a clause in his release saying he can only return to the Roosters

Meant to be somewhere in the area of $2 million so he might be happy to play in front of nobody for that? Think the French rugby thing has fallen through?

Not that anything is finalised yet, but I would assume that if he doesn't sign another contract in the NRL, this is his last contracted year so he can do what ever the f**K he wants after this contract is done.

Maybe after winning a few comps with Roosters and being cashed up after a union stint, maybe the lure of settling back in to NZ and playing with the Warriors could be an option for him

He has said recently that he doesn't want to play for any other NRL club other than the Roosters.
