Social Wrighty's Player Agent Game - Start Dec 26th - Game Underway!!

I actually had “the shitty katoa” in that game because I had cronulla and was planning to keep him and mulitalo but they became a bit of a joke so I traded them out for Alex Johnson and Blake Ferguson iirc.
As it turned out, they have been a very strong wing partnership for cronulla for a long time.
He is interesting Sione Katoa. He is an NRL standard winger but not elite. Ronaldo is clearly the better winger in the team. But Sione isn't the worst going around and he doesn't get injured and turns up every week. Good professional. You defended his reputation at the time but there was no living down we had our angle on him and that was final. No correspondence was going to be entered into it.

Warriors55 I have sized up your team in the squad tracking sheet , thanks for updating it tonight, your middles are absolutely elite after todays props you won. Well done - good looking pack.
Thanks Wrighty! Team is starting to shape up nicely.

Not sure what to do with Mulitalo though. He might be squad depth or force his way in to the 17. 3 good wingers cant fit into 2.

My advice is based on the number of players you have after round 4 is to be open to drafting 19 or 20 players if it works out that way and then sitting back and selecting and configuring a 17 out of those 19 or 20. My original intention was to draft 21 players to give myself options but since starting the game I found the prices much higher than I expected so now i am gunning for either 17 exactly or at most 18. Or alternatively you could just go for 17 and put one one of your wingers on the bench as you have done.
Tough call on who to pick as the two out of those three. I would personally put Mark N on the bench as he has the least runs on the board in terms of length in the NRL and total career tries.

Another option you have is Mark N to centre and Casey Maclean to the bench.

Probably still some way off @Wrighty however is there a rule where you must have sufficient funds in the kitty to be able to purchase a full 17? So for example if you have 3 positions left to fill & only $800k left in spare cap then the maximum you can bid for any 1 player is $400k, leaving the minimum $200k to fill each of the remaining 2 spots?

Matt lodge will be available for $200k.

You can always buy 3 x $200k players so $200k x spots left should be the minimum.

Good advice Wrighty. It will come down to a couple of things and I am pretty open about this, I don't feel like hiding anything from you guys.

1. What kind of 6 I go for. If I go for the best 6 my cap will be almost spent.
2. If I don't go for an elite 6, do I make a play for an elite hooker
3. If I don't go for an elite 6 or an elite hooker, do I make a play for another elite forward giving me an unbeatable pack. Currently my pack will bash most teams into submission and let my skillful backs and Stacey run riot. If I do go for an elite forward do I go for another absolute enforcer or someone with some flair (I may even move Wiki to 11 where he was more of a ball player before he moved to prop and may bring Terrell May into the starting 13 if need be or move Wiki to 11 bring Taumalolo to prop and put Cameron Murray at 13).

Will all depend what letter options come up next.

My first thought regarding the wingers is Alex Johnston is a lock for a wing spot. 243 games for 210 tries. First player to score 30 tries in a season twice and can cover any position in the backline.
Ronaldo Mulitalo is a beast of a player and has 100 tries himself. Great running metres from the back as well.
Then Mark N. If he played as long as Johnston he would probably be one of/the all time greatest winger. The most natural talent of the three but the least runs on the board.

If I go for a second hooker one of those guys will probably miss out and I honestly haven't decided which of the two it will be. I bid $660k for Mulitalo which I would love to have back now.

If you don't have 17 players at the end your team is not eligible for voting. I recommend everyone aim for at least 18 to be safe. It is everyone's responsibility to manage their cap if they have 800K left and need three players. If they spend all 800K on one guy and finish two players short that is on them. Any attempt to regulate the cap gets into too many permutations and mathematical possibilities and the Kiss rule will be broken. Good thing to raise for awareness though and by surfacing it everyone will read these posts and be aware now. Hopefully.

18 players might make a lot of sense, imagine a Hodges intervention where player x doesnt like another player

Or captain, coach, or player with relationship not in 17.

And theres been no walkouts yet just purely fines which havent really been actioned due to the level of interactions.

Lots to play out just yet.
