Could it just be that the guy thought Trump was going to deport him and his family back to be killed by the Taliban for CIA collusion?

Possible but I doubt it.

Trump can't deport someone like him with citizenship that served the CIA for lots of reasons notwithstanding the Courts, the Media shit storm and the special guarantees someone of his level of security clearance gets to keep them quiet about what went on and the secrets about CIA operations.

This is a guy who in the movies gets arrested in a bar fight with a kilo of Coke on him.....the cops throw the book at him.....the phone rings "we are letting you go with a warning"
