Social Offseason Social Game - Guess the Warrior

Hi Warriors fans!

The site has launching a brand new interactive game for our community - Guess the Warrior.

Celebrating Our Warriors Heritage
This game is all about celebrating the players who have worn the jersey with pride - yesterday's heroes
who have represented our club over the years. From legends to cult heroes, each week we'll shine a
spotlight on someone who has contributed to the Warriors story.

What is it?
Each week during the offseason, we'll feature a mystery Warriors player for you to identify. Think you
know your Warriors history? Put your knowledge to the test!

How to Play:
Head to https://nzwarriors.com homepage and you'll find the game widget in the sidebar(or at the bottom of the page on mobile). Here's how it works:

1. Start with a heavily blurred image of the mystery player - the image gradually becomes clearer as you
reveal more clues. You will be presented with one clue to begin with.
2. Reveal clues one at a time to help identify them (each clue reveal counts as an incorrect guess!)
3. Submit your guess when you think you know who it is.
4. Incorrect guesses automatically reveal a new clue.

Scoring:
Your score is based on two key factors:
- Speed - How quickly you guess from your first action (revealing a clue or submitting a guess)
- Efficiency - The fewer clues and guesses you use, the better your score

Can you guess the player with just one or two clues? The challenge is on!

Compare & Compete:
After completing each challenge, you'll see how you stack up against the rest of the community. See if
you can beat the average time and clues used by other Warriors fans!

Track Your Stats:
- Win percentage and current streak
- Average clues used across all your games
- Total games played
- Longest winning streak

New Challenge Every Week
We'll be posting a new mystery player every week throughout the offseason to keep the Warriors spirit
alive while we wait for the season to kick off.

This is a social game, so dont try to cheat. OG fans may have an advantage but the idea is to get our newer fans understand more about the players who have represented the club.

Would like feedback on the first challenge. Was it too difficult? Some of the clues are loose on purpose as the unblurring of the image should also assist. The intention was for users to take atleast 3/4 guesses/clues to correctly guess the player. Dont spoil in the event if someone has not played it yet.

@JustLikeStartingOver and @tohuharrislover did you guys cheat? Insane pull just from the first clue and blurred image if not! Well done.

Nah how many semi caucasian dark haired backs/forwards have we had? Also the kit puts it in the time period he was here, you can get that much from the first image

I would probably have spelled the name wrong if it was free text so the drop down helps

I didn't understand the second clue but the first clue & the kit narrowed it down enough

lol I was the same for some reason I got Taane Milne stuck in my head and couldn’t shift it. Didn’t even notice a picture so went for the obvious Simon Mannering and Lewis Brown first

I only took one guess, but it registered it at 2?

I had a shot based on jersey and blurry size and picked a prop who went on to play for titans and was well out.

Yeah the image ie jersey etc is helpful. Yes some clues are going to be open to interpretation. Later clues should make it easy though but by then the image should be fairly clear.

I thought it was lewis brown when I heard backs and forwards. And then couldn't remember the last name so typed luke lewis. I guessed right on the 6th clue based on the bmx bike. Fun game - great job tajhay.

New challenge will be up tonight. This one might be difficult for some, but theres quite a lot of information provided in the clues. But itll be hard for someone to get it first up this time

Btw new challenge will be up every couple of days as we go through the Offseason boredom - no announcement just a new one will pop up whenever time allows.

What did the clue Warrior Warrior mean?

Hah, it seems obvious in hindsight, but in the moment I was "what the hell kind of dumb clue is that?!"

I'm not doing very well in these, at least I get them before the final one or two clues are revealed hah!
