NRL NRL 2025 General Recruitment Thread

To locals it’s outrageously bad where once there no traffic, it now has 5 minutes of traffic jams in the mornings. 🤷‍♂️

Tauranga has 140k people and is relatively deserted having come from Auckland., so no complaints here.

SOME roads into town (eg from Omokoroa) have terrible local bottleneck issue but a motorway is being built to fix this and being a tourist area on public holidays there can be a half hour queue into town.
Our area has a number of schools nearby & 9am & 3pm are a nightmare but apart from those times pretty good compared to say Auckland.

Not a fan of this loan nonsense.

Don't blame the Storm, but these teams that agree to it.....

Agree. Unless the loaned player is going to help put you in a premiership winning situation it just delays the development/recruitment of your long term solution.

Tigers got a year of Harry Grant, were still useless, helped develop a player for a rival, and had to find a new hooker again the following season.

But yes, great deal for the team doing the lending.

And what does this all say about Hannay? Nothing good in answer to my rhetorical question

Hard to read to much into it imo.

As a brand new coach if someone's going to offer you a top half, even for a year you're probably going to take it.

Everyone wants results from day one. If he's able to pull a move like that and go from say 14th position to 9th or 10th instead that's a big win for Hannay

I m not even sure Hannah is there yet . Des went back to Sydney last week
After working and doing end of season player reviews
Titans waiting on Rcg Akp and Fifita to confirm departure then I guess Pezel will be go
Wrighty you are being a bit cruel to Hannay
Give the new bloke a bit of time !

We should look into the Dolphins to loan us Naufahu for next year.
With Cobbo joining in 2026 and Bostock to return from injury.
This talented speedster goes back to reserves where he has proven too good to be playing taking his opportunities.

Silly off season thinking already.
