Perth are. PNG are meant to be a year or 2 after, but I've heard it's still a shit show there, which is no surprise.
Yeah I see PNG ceo stepped down to join panthers. Really wondering what’s the go with Metcalf? The longer he’s not extended, the more I think he’s going to market? Or are the club prepared to take a risk and see how he goes in his final year and can stay healthy?

Remember a couple of seasons ago it might have been his mum came on this forum absolutely giving it to us for not going all in trying to sign him?.......apparently he was the next Laurie Daley once in a gen type and we were all fuckwits for not seeing it :p.....it was funny.

Given the disdain on here when the Dominic Young/ Tyrell Sloan types came up for discussion it always amuses me the excitement the likes of Talau or a Bailey Simonssen can then generate.

Kosi is near Jonah Lomu in Cup to be fair.

Talau is a lesser version of Pompey

Man I would love to know what McFadden thi ks when watching that game last night.
There was a few concerning ‘wtf is this?!?’ Shots from Webby during the game which I’m not sure I’ve seen before. Problem is he seemed almost too upbeat about the team’s prospects in the presser that I’m not sure he sees some of the glaring issues

Of course he sees them, but he's not going to call them out publicly, that would be insane.

The team we have is limited, the players we have are limited. You can see coming through the grades there are players with much higher ceilings.

Right now we play a game plan that suits our limitations (which is why we never have a plan B when plan A goes out the window), but hopefully our fundamental based game plan will hold us in better standing when it's mixed with higher ceiling players in the future.

I love what CHT has done this year, but can the club afford to keep him beyond his current contract?

We know when in game, the halfback goes down, hes completely lost. The fact we cant have Healey on the bench may say this all.

Man I hope this Linnane kid is special, because we need another 6 who can carry the team if called upon.
I'm predicting TMM to not be resigned after 2026 and CHT to become our 14 in 2027. With either Linnane replacing him at 6 for 2027, or Cleary at 7 and Metcalf at 6 - depending which of Cleary or Linnane are ready for first grade first.
