There were times last night where he had to take 2 or 3 in the same set as others were ambling back onside

Re the Doorey incident

I was at the game and had access to SportsEars

The ref clearly called that Doorey was injured before he tried to play the ball and had effectively already stopped the game - whether he had blown the whistle before the PTB I can't recall

He must have seen what caused it to pull it up straight away because there were players that stayed down that he asked to get up and play the ball. Finding it cringy how much DWZ is staying down

That first try should have been an indication on how to play. When we get down there with get some shape and run hard and direct.

The Leka try in the second when he went through also should have been a hint.

A lot of the other teams see something that works and keep going back to it.

Leka would be more effective running hard into gaps instead of being used one out getting tackled by two people.

If Leka, Rocco and our edges are running great lines through holes then it's up to Tanah and Chanel to get it in their hands every time. Won't take much to improve that.

Kid needs a bit of footy smarts- just say not sure, every Aussie instantly latched onto that comment as an ‘end of story nothing to see’ whilst completely ignoring the second half of his comment saying that he thought it went back.

It’s not just the hollywoods. He always doing dumb shit or making dumb mistakes. Like that spear tackle. Getting sin binned for tackling a guy without the ball. Giving away a penalty for a high shot against the phins which cost us the game. Dripping bombs. Always trying for the intercept and missing.

Those parra tries last night. Always in the “vicinity” but shows zero urgency or accountability to stop the try. Like it’s not his responsibility or his problem. And half of the karnts on this forum always make up some ridiculous excuse for the guy. How old he is??? +30 but still doing dumb rookie mistakes.. look he ran 170m???!!! Big fkn deal….

Technically if our back three and centres are eating up the metres our middles should be rock solid in defence behind not having as heavy a workload.

Dallin, Marata, Charnzey and Way Deegan are ready to be weaned out.

We won't win the premiership with these guys

I would like Tannah Boyd to become much better at his punting. Or positional kicking as we call it in league. Moses's last tackle kicks were a huge point of difference in the match. Why can't Boyd teach himself to really give it some Welly. I get he is never going to be an offensive power house, so why can't he just get really good as an organising half. Much better than what he is now. All he really needs to do is fix his punting. Needs to find about an extra 5 metres in depth.

He can do it. It's self confidence he lacks for the highest level. Doesnt have "IT" right now so depends on the whole team to function on all cylinders.

Back threes job on attack isn’t to eat up meters and make yardages.
Everyone creaming themselves with their meters. You’re being fooled. Their job is to exploit gaps and score tries.

Forwards need to make the meters and do the hard yards

My verdict on the match

I thought it was a high quality match played between two teams in good form. Possibly the match of the round. I think Moses is in the form of his life and he had a hand in nearly everything. No shame in losing to Moses in that kind of form.
I thought the ref, not the bunker, but he ref gave us the rub of the green all night and some of the 6 again calls we got were lucky.
This was not cripple fight like we have been in past years. I thought our left edge looked slick and at its best it has been all year. Unfortunately losses take your momentum away so I hope we can win next week to go into the playoffs on a winning note.
Great match to watch. Highly entertaining.
As mentioned I think this should CNK's last season as our premier fullback. That miss on Iongi is just not good enough. He has been missing tackles like that the last two years while Taine makes them. Unfortunately CNK is signed through 2027 but hopefully Webster is actually watching the matches.
Capewell had a bad game for some reason and Egan had an off night. Scoreboard pressure will force those mistakes.

I was hosting a dinner party last night during the game and I smashed my TV in front of 30 guests after the bunker decision. My wife took our crying kids and said they’re all spending the week at a hotel. The bunker has ruined my life and my party.
