📝 Summary:

The thread centers on New Zealand's upcoming election, primarily debating the economic management and policy differences between the center-left Labour government and center-right National/ACT opposition. National have slashed and burnt infrastructure spending and investment from day one, with no back up plan, and created a huge shock prolonging this recession unnecessarily as well. The recovery should be well under way by now.
Yet the article you posted isn't about a prolonged recession caused by National, slashing and burning, infrastructure or investment... it's about the OCR which NO government (left, right or centralist) can alter because the Reserve Bank can't be influenced by the Government and has to remain independent.

To try and use this information to blame the government on a prolonged recession is pretty much entering Wiz's misinformation levels....

What a joke of a person and party. If only she put as much effort in to domestic issues rather than foreign matters where she literally doesn't have to do anything but blow wind at. She is a disgrace. The fact she is happy to miss a week of parliament says it all really.
What's funny about speaking up about the genocide Inruin? National and Act are privileged cowards.

This is what leadership looks like. This is what integrity looks like. Not the conservative regressive selfish mean spirited greed, bigotry, fascism and hatred we see from those on the right.

Case in point is your comment.

The world is our community. It's to our shame that we're all looking away while this despicable abhorrent crime against humanity goes on.

Read my post. Is reading comprehension not your thing? Leadership? Integrity? Now that is funny. Blowing wind about something that she doesn't have to do anything herself about. Where is her leadership on the issues in NZ? What about the despicable abhorrent crimes against our own children happening in our own country? Where is the protests and righteous indignation there? This is the left. This is who they are. Find something that's trending that all they have to do is get loud about. She is a joke and the party is a joke.

Yeah let’s just waltz in & do what Chloe demands… unfortunately decisions like that don’t happen in isolation to other potential consequences. We’re already dealing with a new 15% tariff from our second largest export market who unsurprisingly doesn’t share her opinion, we need to be careful how we move forward on the Israel issue.

Ummm. I'm pretty sure you'll find that the Green party are speaking up very strongly about all the things you've mentioned, you just don't pay attention to their output. The Greens ARE strong leaders, you just don't want to listen. I've seen many an exaggerated outrage, even a lynch mob on here from those on the right and far right about the Greens, and I expect that will continue.

You've clearly got some anger issues, sorry about that. The genocide in Palestine has everything to do with all of us.

The fact that you choose to call it "trending" and attempt to belittle in the process is your issue.

Yeah, Chloe is the left. So am I. This is who we are. Get over it and show some humanity for a change.

At least we're honest about who we are.

What an utterly utterly stupid reply.

I guess politicians shouldn't have spoken out in 1981 or keeping NZ nuclear free or any number of international issues that the good people of NZ may feel strongly about. Yes making public statement on a murderous regime is leadership. It's also what her constitutes think.

What are the government doing about the "despicable abhorrent crime against our own children" you're all sanctimonious about all of a sudden. Nothing. In fact making the lives worse for their parents...

I thought you were center. At least we have cut through the charade you were staging, finally.

Think you might look to the Green Party and their leader when it comes to anger issues.

And I've definitely been listening. I've been listening very closely.

Interesting you use the words exaggerated outrage. If there was ever a phrase to sum up the Green party that would be it. You mistake this for humanity and assume anyone else doesn't have any. That's your issue.
