If anyone has a drum kit they're wanting to sell or knows of someone who does, I'm looking at getting back into drumming again and wanting to buy a kit. Looking for a Pearl, Tama or Yamaha 5 piece kit preferably with hardware and cymbals inc. hi hats, 16 & 18" crashes and 20-22" ride. Budget is up to $1,000 (depending on what may need to be replaced or added).

Cheers!!

Brought a Yamaha kit... replacing the brass cymbals with bronze. Stock heads going to be upgraded too. Waiting for a 13 inch tom that I brought on eBay to go with the existing 10 and 12 inch mount toms but it seems to have trouble getting from the UK down to NZ.... Aramex are as useless as tits on a bull as my Old Man used to say.

Couple of deaths of some true greats in the past few days. Couple of days ago was Sly Stone, and now Brian Wilson has passed away

I saw the "Sly Stone Passes Away" headline pop up the other day and brain initially thought it was referring to Sylvester Stallone 🫣

RIP to both nonetheless

He lived a hell of a life.

The amount of alcohol and drugs he put into his body getting to 76 is an impressive innings.

I've been on a bit of a Black Sabbath and Ozzy kick the last few weeks after the Back to the Beginning concert. That would have given him something to look forward to and made him happy playing on stage with the original members on last time. Still a shock though when you see someone in the public eye again and then they pass soon after.

Fondly remembered from the Great Ngaruawahia Music Festival in '73. He and the band were whacked, we were all pissed and rolling down the hill when they lit the cross up. Top sessions and a Great 3 days
