All I hear is excuses from people who don't wanna face me in Rugby League 2026.

Currently I am 0-2 having lost two shit shows of matches against the Bunnies and Sharks. I cursed the TV when that prick Nicho Hynes kicked a conversion from right in front and celebrated like he had won the grand final. At least they got his shit vibes accurate...

But boy, when I finally learn the controls....watch out!

What a cock up. Wonder how many of the of the team at big ant even knew about rugby league whilst being in Melbourne (though they did screw up the afl and cricket game too).

I dont think xbox players can even log in yet. Radio silence from the dev team after saying the team put in a double shift of 16+ hours yday.

Saw them also a say they are working on Pro Team before moving onto a gameplay update..

In other words, their micro-transaction fueled game mode which will be played by what, 30% of the player base at the absolute most? Is being prioritised over the actual gameplay, which effects everyone.

I keep checking into twitter to see if they have said anything more but it’s radio silence, in fact the opposite, the Big Ant CEO went and deleted some tweets where he was in an argument with a YouTuber earlier in the week where he said that there are 100+ new gameplay animations lol

Everyone had low expectations but its still worse than imagined. Just went to golden point and it didn't end after one team scored, but they didn't take the conversion and play on until 'GP half time' which the game then ended.
Absolutely clueless, the most frustrating part is the old game didn't have these issues????

Lol. I clicked on to pro team and then it came up with a sign saying it wasn't working, press X to continue and then it just wouldn't load or let me go back so had to switch off haha. It's pretty awfully out together

Boys need some help. How do you score tries? How do you play it and what difficulty?

I have tried pro and amateur and can't score one. Yardage and defence is fine so I think I am on the right level. Am I playing too much on how league should be played? Haha

Press the square botton to score tries.

Ok to actually score tries you need to find gaps or more to the point create gaps by passing close to the line. Are you playing online or just offline? I play pro but its quite hard bit of a step up from amateur. You can sidestep yourself to wins in rookie and amateur modes tbh. Pro you need to tune your passing too. Try online so you can see how others play. I find grubbers close to the line are good too

Sadly this is par for the course on game development studios these days. My guess is they under bid for the contract and are over their development budget by quite a bit.

The presales alone was revenue of 11m. Pretty sure their dev costs was nowhere close to that figure unless copying and pasting has suddenly become a high paying skillset.

Wonder who is providing them rugby league knowledge or testing for them, considering they are in melbourne and most likely noone knows a thing about rugby league. Last night they pushed out an update, where tries didnt account for 4 points. Promised proteam servers to be up at 6pm today and it all crashed within mins. Their founder and company x accounts blocking all dissenters. Its a train wreck.

Well it depends.

How many clubs/leagues did they have to pay for the rights for?
How long was the development period?
What’s the expected profit margin from any board of investors?
How big was the team they had working on it?
How much did they spend on marketing?

I don’t know enough specifics to really make much of a comment on how they went about it, but $11 million can disappear pretty quickly when you’re running a mid size studio.

Was expecting the first line response haha.
Have tried a bit of that, comes with a lot of risk though. I definitely don't want to go down to Rookie and score like that. Online isn't quite the same as you have human error in the D line which the game doesn't have.

Player ratings are a huge issue with the game; no one plays like themselves, let alone the position they play.

Few examples..
- Reece Walsh is stronger than AFB (86 Strength vs 84)
- Payne Haas can kick better than Adam Reynolds (80 Punt vs 79)
- Fish has a better step than RTS (86 Step vs 76)
- Jake Trbojevic is faster than Hammer (85 Sprint vs 84)

In general, forwards are massively OP. Whenever you make a line break with an outside back, you are immediately swarmed by every forward on the field.

I played one game last night just to test the update out, myself as the Dolphins vs. the AI as the Broncos.

The AI on last tackle passed the ball to Payne Haas, even though Hunt and Reynolds were available, and Haas booted it 60 odd metres, with the ball landing perfectly in the in-goal.

Then Carrigan not only beats Hammer in a 60m foot race to the ball to dive on the ball and score, but actually gains ground on him.

Absolute madness.

It's actually impressive how wrong everything is
