Since we are throwing names out there for wing/center. There is a young center debuting for Cronulla tonight. Chris Vea'ila is his name and he is a young kiwi who has been murdering in the NSW cup for the Jets. Was a big reason why the Jets beat us in round 5 for our only loss in cup. He has a huge work rate in the middle and is a great finisher. He'd be great in our system. I'd be giving him a ring:

Do you know something we don't?

Barney just posted this on his insta, I wouldn't have thought they had any overlap at any stage? Born in Auckland too👀

Jake White another Kiwi kid at the Sharks worth keeping tabs on. Made Aussie schoolboys, which doesn't guarantee success by any means but is often a springboard to big things.

couple days late but im shocked people are seriously suggesting gannon at 13 over clarke... clarke is on the verge of being the dally m 13 of the season lol
I thought people are talking about Gannon for the minutes Clark is off the field.

Also I think it is crazy to think that only the thirteen can be the ball playing forward (this is where some have suggested at some future point that Dimitric and Gannon share the Locking role while Clark goes to Prop.

So in actual fact, since Gannon is playing edge forward as I type, and was signed for Walkers role (the ball player that plays when the starting Lock rests) they are actually talking about Dimitric replacing CLark not Gannon.

Lastly as I said in the Dimitric thread, what this team wants, is for both ball playing forwards to be on the park at the same time, to bring back the forward inter passing Tohu and Walker carried.

For that to happen you would leave Dimitric as a bench Lock forward, he is better suited to the middle anyway, and play Gannon on an edge with Leka on the other.

Then we have 5 young second rowers all at once 😂

And if Riki’s teasing, I am wondering if he’s coming in 2028, since he’s contracted to 2027. He’ll be 28 by then, a straight swap for Barney when he retires or move to Perth, and Fish is aging, to fill the leadership veteran role, he’s 190cm 105kg, probably perfect to convert to prop by that age.

Chevy Stewart looked good when playing the U19 Origin last year.

Also remember his debut wasn't that bad. Has some acceleration. Not sure we are after him as didn't the same guy say we were getting Manu?

I would be shocked if we signed him, mind you we did get Reece Walsh here another at the time potential Star player.

I just....I dunno, am a bit wary of getting excited about rumors that has every thing we are looking for. Seems too good to be true.

Fast, elusive, brains, passes, fearless, try stopping defender, tackle breaks, can go the length of the field, Center fullback utlity.

I hope it is true that we are chasing him even if we don't sign him, because it proves Cappy is looking for a potential super star junior strike player.

He is twenty, so ready to be pushing for NRL if we signed him.
