Knocking the ball on in the first set of 6 tackles set the tone.. yes the referee didn't help and the charge down on the stroke of hard time made it a big task.

Yes Kosi had a poor game......was half asleep for the TMM pass which should have been a walk-in cost the Warriors a nervous last 5 minutes.

TMM and CHT were two of the best.
RTS did well too
If Metcalf out for season ask SJ to come out of retirement
Ffs
We have Tmm and Tanah

For sure, I definitely agree. And I actually slightly prefer RTS at full back but Webster has come out in public and said CNK is signed as a full back. I don't think he is going to move RTS to full back unless absolutely necessary.

I think the only way it will happen is if CNK goes down injured, RTS has a few weeks as a full back and kills it and Webster can't move him back to wing.

We also need to remember that RTS is also losing pace. He is still quick but not as quick as he was.

For a brutal forward oriented territory game CNK is your man. But if it is a fast open game or we are chasing quick points, RTS is your man. Both have outstanding defence, both are good under the high ball.
That's why CNK is preferred i reckon.
Our team doesn't play with speed due to not having a fast ball playing backline.
Having that extra hard grinder out back just sures things up.

No not at all, but saying JFH is a terrible signing shows how short sighted you are. Not every player is about stats, some individuals care more about themselves not the team.

Each to their own, you defend Kosi but seriously unless he is your relative I have no idea why. He’s a good NSW Cup player, but he is not 1st grade standard, Tuapiki is.
You're overreacting bro. I said at least give Kosi a chance. The game had just started and he was being outed already lol. Obviously, He failed big time. No more chances for him.

Kosi shouldn't be a comparison to Fish's output. Kosi is on $3 a year. Fish is our captain, And one of the highest paid at the club

Short sighted or not. His input off the feild may be invaluable to our young brigade. His output on it is mid. The young guns overshadow him & Nuikore.

I haven't watched a single game this year where I've watched him and gone, Ohhh fuck yeah James! ! You're going to kill kunts and give me a stiffy! Quite the opposite, Limp & uninterested.

All I want from James is a boner once in a while.

Altho I agree with you the names don’t help, its always worth remembering winning starts at training. I dont think its a coincidence that hes arrived and the culture of the club has picked up. He isnt a win us a game forward but hes put the standards thst it always needs to be 100%

With how the club has had all the talent in young players but they never kick off due to attitude.
Agree to disagree with some points bro. James is good for the culture of the club. Just for me, Personally, A bit of a let down on it.

Definitely. I think if we go deep into September we are going to be winning games 22-16 and 18-16 rather than blasting teams away. We might have the odd game where everything clicks like vs the Sharks but against really good teams we are going to have to grind.

Will be interesting to see if we blow teams away now we have a much easier draw in the run home. Maybe not with Metcalf injured.

weak as to appeal to the refereeing, I kNow that, and don't think it can ever be a deciding factor anyway, HOWEVER, there was a definite basis today - you can't take scrum penalties, or 'work with the forehead', or ignored off-sides and forward passes out of the equation - there was a favourite son today and it wasn't us ... we didn't do enough to win besides that, yet...

There were some calls that went against us for sure. It was noticeable.

That play the ball penalty against Egan was absolute rubbish and the commentators knew it.

I haven’t read any other posts.
We are a gallant in our efforts.
However when we play a better side we need to take every chance given to us.
Lots of Herculean efforts out there but we just don’t have the backs.

What about the ref declining our ref challenge twice!? Wtf was happening?!

I don't remember the second one but the NRL has a rule that you cannot challenge penalties relating to play the ball.

It is a cop out a bit from the NRL because they know teams would be challenging play the ball penalties nearly every time and it is not policed consistently from game to game.

But for obvious wrong calls like the Egan one it is crazy you cannot challenge it. It wrecked the momentum we had.

The thing is I have seen it challenged repeatedly 😂🤦
