OK Jonesy I have made my trades. I have risked Iongi as my fullback believing that Mitchell Moses will turn Iongi into a consistent 50 point scorer as his floor. I just want someone consistent. Dudes who jam up and down are hard to work with.

Iongi is my hardest decision. Trying to choose between him and Sandon Smith for the final reserve spot.

Sandon at his level of experience is probably a confidence player. He is coming off the back of 100plus points so likely to go ok. I have Sandon as one of my 4 reserves. However bear in mind we are against each other this week so take my advice with caution !!!!

It is based on what Wrighty said about Iongi improving under Mitchell Moses that makes it hard. I just don't know if Sandon Smith can back up his incredible ANZAC day game. Saw something similar from Sam Walker.

Toia, Metcalf and Dylan Egan were all non-players for me this week so missed out on around 350 points from them. I've made some disastrous calls. Only one I'm happy with was taking a punt with King Togia who looks a great prospect.

And this afternoon I benched Jenkins for De Groot on a hunch it was a dry track and that he was due a good score. De Groot finished on 34, Jenkins is on 93 points with 22 minutes to go! I captained Cleary though so that lessens the misery just a little.

I was wondering whether to bring Humphries back into the squad at some stage, but scoring 4 over 80 minutes is a bit of a risk. He would've been playing well within himself, whoever fielded him will be regretting it.

Humphries was only ever a cash cow bridge to better players. I reckon for the halves at least, that time of the season is in the rear view mirror.

Well fine people of the SuperCoach competition. How are you faring at the half way mark of the season?
I made a fast start and have since picked up some losses.
How about you? Are you happy so far? Any trades you regret? Any moves that really paid off.

I regret brining in Ponga because I thought he would turn his form around. That was a bad choice.
My move that paid off was bringing in Haas round three.

Thoughts on your team at the half way point?

My teams set up well but I’m burning through the trades. Even this week I planned to only make the 1 trade but will almost certainly do a 2nd because a season keeper is within reach… so why not grab him now. My two big recent moves which could easily blow up in my face have been to trade out Haas & Cleary for the origin period. I’m feeling nervous about it.

I’m pretty happy with my team. I’ve been trying to get a good overall rank, but managed to win the close games and am sitting pretty at the top of the ladder.

I thought about selling Gutho to Drinkwater before Drinkys three tons, but didn’t go through with it. I sold Gutho later after he lost a ton of cash and brought Drinky in for his 14

How many trades do people have left? I think I’ll bring Keon in this week and that will leave me with 18.

23 trades left. Have made no trades this week. I need to trade out Ali Leiataua but want to watch this round first to eye up a few candidates.

I had the big three (Haas, Cleary and Yeo) and only traded out Yeo for origin.

Nah my first 3 years playing it I finished 99th, 90th & then 21st. Back then I was living in Melbourne & got 1st in Victoria each of those years & the 21st was top ranked Warriors supporter. Thought it was just a matter of time till I won the whole thing but closest I’ve since got was about 240th, lots of top 1,000 finishes.

I think one of the issues is that as I’ve got older I’ve got less risky with my trades & stuck too close to the pack. I doubt many have won it outside of their 20s, young man’s game.
