Player Luke Metcalf

I like Metcalf…. But the guys had 1 good game after people were questioning his place in the team most of the season.

We should prioritise resigning him but:

- it’s still very much based on potential
- he still has only 34 games and has a lot of learning to do
- he’s playing off the back of a highly dominant pack allowing him to look good
- he’s been incredibly injury prone
- CHT has been his equal and could lead the team if Metcalf leaves

I would make him a decent offer but not throw the book at him, relying on payback for everything we’ve offered him. Another 2 years and i see him as a $1.2m player once he has the experience and has proven himself over the longer term.

If we’re talking marquee money I would go all in on Leka!

Start of the season everyone agreed we had the cheapest most inexperienced and worst half paring in the comp…. now they’re right up there with Munster and Hughes????

Shiet, is the rort on AGAIN?

LM only picked up 3 points on the weekend? The points givers love to give points to halves, and with Lukey getting a try, a try assist and the all important 1 point to win the game, I woulda thought he would have got the full 6 points.

Would have had him on 27 points behind only Kennedy.

SJ would have schooled him up on the Warriors treatment. Still a shocker in my view SJ missed out in 2023

Tbh i didnt even think it was one of Luke's better games. Had 3 good moments but not a lot inbetween.

Kinda weird that both judges had Barnett as 2 points, but both of them didnt have the other judges first place at all

Based on what we have seen so far this season, no. Definitely a healthy upgrade required but he isn't doing what million dollar players do yet.
