I like Metcalf…. But the guys had 1 good game after people were questioning his place in the team most of the season.

We should prioritise resigning him but:

- it’s still very much based on potential
- he still has only 34 games and has a lot of learning to do
- he’s playing off the back of a highly dominant pack allowing him to look good
- he’s been incredibly injury prone
- CHT has been his equal and could lead the team if Metcalf leaves

I would make him a decent offer but not throw the book at him, relying on payback for everything we’ve offered him. Another 2 years and i see him as a $1.2m player once he has the experience and has proven himself over the longer term.

If we’re talking marquee money I would go all in on Leka!

Start of the season everyone agreed we had the cheapest most inexperienced and worst half paring in the comp…. now they’re right up there with Munster and Hughes????

Same style but obviously not in their class.
Not yet and probably not ever. Who is?
They taught us a lesson.
