Pick Your Team Dolphins v Warriors - [Round 11, 2025]

For this to be a successful year to me at the start of the season, was to get into the top 8 somehow. I'll take feeling sick ever week watching live for a top 4 finish. I have no idea how webster and the boys have managed to grit it out, but this season has started better than i've ever hoped for.
I love it.

It's just stressful and tiring even just watching. Let alone playing...!

Playing or watching it at the ground is probably easier than sitting at home by yourself watching lol
In the cowboys game I was down in the BOP ... no TV... not enough data on my phone only an old AM radio
The signal kept fading in and out ... the boys kept fading in and out and I was fading in and out .... with 10 to go I shot outside to listen to the crashing surf for a couple of minutes... seemed apt at the time

As much as we hate nail biters, I think it plays into our hands this week. 5 of the 6 Dolphins losses this year have been 12 or under whereas 3 of their 4 wins have been 13+. They are like the Broncos in that way: they can blow teams away with their pace but struggle under the grind. Conversely, we've become the kings of clutch and have developed awesome game management skills in the final 10 of games now. If it is a close, grindy affair, we win this.

Well explained .Centre is probably the hardest position to defend especially for a make shift older guy with new wingers
While he is makeshift and old and all of the deficiencies he has. He is like Pompey. Durable. Reliable. Centre's defensive fun or not fun happens from what happens in the middle. Then who's organising numbers left middle and right to make sure the Manly style stacking numbers on one side doesn't leave our centre whoever it is covering a half a back rower and a fullback. Number up organise and communicate. It does wonders to frustrate opposing attack. Especially when you call their moves exactly bang on.

South Africa won their rugby world cup with a PD of 3 points in the 3 knock out games, ie 1 point win in the quarter, semi, final

I have no idea how their fans survived lol
Winning. That's how. And that's how we're surviving the theatre of dramas we're playing.

If we were a hyper successful perennial premiership winning club I would nit pick over one point victories but these wins make me feel like Gollum and that stupid ring of power.

For me this is a successful year even if we lose all the rest of our games from here on.
As it's now our best start to a season ever🙌😄

Was thinking this for rotations

Fish 30min -> Barney 10+40min
Ford 35min - Marata 5min +20min - Fish 20min
Clark 30min - Demi 10+20min - Clark 20min
Marata 25min - Leka 15+40min
Capewell 80min

6 interchanges 2 to spare for Egan/hammies

Leka/Demi/Barney on the bench so 1 of co-captains is on the field 100% of the time and Leka plays 55 off the bench instead of 80 like the last 2 weeks. Barney and Ford playing 35+ minutes stints and Leka 40 stint on the edge, nobody plays more than 55 except Capewell, Marata covers 2nd row and prop to prevent Leka’s body

You can feel the wrinkles appear and your hair getting whiter during the game!

Best start to a season ever and I don't think we're playing at anything like Full 100% Wahs. Still in building/learning mode.

I know everyone's talking AW and rightly so, but also are we seeing the real advantage of having a certain Mr James Fisher-Harris in the team. Is he driving the work even if he can't fully do it himself??

Same team barring injuries and obviously any of the senior players who are fit and able to take the field.
