Israel have declared war on HAMAS, the militant wing and unrecognized ruling party of Palestine.

These alarming events push Israel/the west closer to war with Iran (the backers of HAMAS).

There will be ramifications for Ukraine, at this stage it is difficult to tell how the cards will fall.

At least 232 people in the Gaza Strip were killed and 1,700 wounded in Israeli strikes, the Palestinian Health Ministry said. Hamas fighters took an unknown number of civilians and soldiers captive into Gaza.“
 
This could get very ugly quickly. Unfortunately I have seen several videos I very much wish I hadn't. Executing parents in front of children and then Raping, breaking the limbs of children and then executing them is incomprehensible. There is zero justification on this planet for that. They are innocent.
 
Pretty amazing it could happen.
West bank has been completely blockaded on every side for years. Totally dependent on Israel for power, water and imports/exports.
Then out of nowhere , fast attack boats , paragliders(!) And bulldozers plus motorbikes launch a pretty audacious surprise attack.....
Wow.
 
Im 77 and its been the biggest rip off in my lifetime.
I think Hamas is trying to scuttle the Israeli /Saudi Arabia agreements, which would allow Saudi to purchase F-35 Lightnings from USA.
Belt Road or hit the highway decision for humanity

To be honest it simply doesn't add up. 60-80% of Israel's soilders were stood down before the attack took place. The border gates were basically open to Hamas.

Brand new weapons in Hamas hands. Biden grants $6b to Iran in the weeks leading in. Iran funds Hamas.

World leading defense force which can spot a cockroach moving kms away and had tech 25 years ago which would trigger if a cat rubbed against the boarder fences didn't have any idea this was coming.

Even more baffling is how they managed to simply glide in and land on boats all of which is low tech. Its pretty much unbelievable if you understand special ops and tech.

None of it adds up unless they want to wipe out Palestine and claim all the land and are willing to sacrifice some of their population to get there.

What I do know Hamas is ready, willing and able to rape, torture and execute children. Very sad.
 
If Israel gets attacked from the north then get your adult nappies on because that would be the nuke window - the Samson option

Here's hoping it blows over before this turns into the WW3 thread. IDF and Mossad aren't what they used to be, Netanyahu has to go.

If eight Saudis could bring down the twin towers and hit the Pentagon, then HAMAS could and has caught Israel off guard.
They chose a Jewish holiday eh, so their guard was indeed down because they relaxed for a day.

That human Zoo Israel created was always going to breed a future war on a large scale. HAMAS are well trained and as you say well armed.

Israel did not want this, they had no need for it, they were abusing and killing people in the GAZA strip at will without a conspiracy in sight.

I am not anti Israel either, as we all know, everything in the middle east happens by Proxy, one group or another goes to war backed by someone.

With Iran's dirty fingers in Ukraine and the Gaza strip, it will be interesting to see what the US and Israel come up with.

A new war on terror and all that bollocks with Iran being the primary enemy is possible.

I am not an expert on middle eastern affairs, I think today that applies pretty much to everyone, the landscape has shifted.

I'm not so sure of the Israeli abuses, there's an anti-Iraeli media machine that twists the facts as well. But Bibi's authoritarian regime is fanning these flames, he's divided his citizens and will hopefully be taken out over this.
 
I found this really hard to understand. Why does Hamas want to provoke Israel to this degree? They are pretty much fighting the best of USA military's equipment with not much more than rocks and stones. I think Israel, it's leader and generally it's people are obnoxious racists' who don't deserve the backing of the Western world. Hamas aren't going to win many friends out of this attack, but considering what's already happening to their people maybe this is the lesser of two evils.

I've got Israeli friends in bomb shelters today, they blame Netanyahu for behaving like a terrorist and American puppet, they want Palestinian representation in Knesset and a form of co-governance.
There is a deep racism inherent in Israel, I suppose it's what you get after 4,000 years of existential threat to your race from people who are actively trying to kill you, usually the neighbours.
